I think that some of the movies re-used some of the plots from old episodes, for example: Scooby-Doo and a Mummy Too and Scooby-Doo In Where's My Mummy?. In SD and a Mummy Too the mummy used a curse to frighten people away, and the curse intailed people getting turned to stone, and this was exactly what happened in Where's My Mummy?
AND
A Creepy Tangle in the Bermuda Triangle and Scooby-Doo! Pirates Ahoy! In Creepy Tangle the gang get stuck on an island in the middle of the Bermuda Triangle, and in Pirates Ahoy! they go on a mystery cruise to the Bermuda Triangle.
This is, in my opinion due to different writers or something, because the gang didn't even mention that they'd been there before or anything!

I agree they did seem to use the same plots for some of the movies. It's like the writers weren't clever enough to come up with new ideas, so they just used shows to help them expand on. Or, maybe it was a ply to expand on the show because the shows did so well. Hmmm...

Yeah! Some really good points SA! Sounds like our Scooby awareness is just tooo good for the writers to get away with 2nd rate production! XD XD

I wish they wouldn't re-use old plots.

yeah, it gets kinda boring ^^. though i can understand it a bit, i don't know how they can still come up with new ideas after so many episodes

I don't mind them re-using old plots, but if they used them too much it would get boring.

I don't like them reusing old plots and I think there are enough things in the world that can keep the show from getting boring.

Exactly i've been saying that all along, I guess this is why Fan Fiction is so popular; it gives fans a chance to be writers and come up with plots that would be just as good as anything the writers could come up with.
