I finally watched SD 2!!!! It was really good! Better than the 1st one! It was really kewl to see all the old villains. Yet again, Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini were right on with their Shaggy and Velma. I still didn't like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Fred and Daphne. And I also thought they made Scooby look really dumb in the movie, which annoyed me a bit. Overall though, it was a good movie.

I like animated better, because thats what Scooby was meant to be and he is better that way. I do like the live action movies, the second one is my favorite.

Anyone notice the continuity error in Scooby 2? Daphne says the Black Knight Ghost was their very first case, yet they have the costume of Chickenstien{which is a Pup villain right?}

Didn't they also have other costumes other than Chickenstein? I thought they had the Black Knight one too? Maybe I am just forgetting hehe.

I think there are errors between all the series and movies. It's hard to keep track of all the facts. Although, the people who write this stuff are paid to do it and should be doing their research to keep everything more consistent. I think so anyway...

Exactly!!! MY OPINION REPLICATED! I hate it when they get things wrong...they're meant to have all of the statistics! But I suppose it's hard not to make a few!

i liked the live action movies, but the animated ones are still better. it's like "there you know, what you have" (please don't think, i'm strange, in german, "there you know, what you have" is a slogan of a washing powder )

I am always going to prefer the animated Scooby over live-action. I liked the live-action movies though, the first two that is. I hate the latest two.

The live action is okay, but I'll always prefer the animated versions. It's impossible to completely capture their characters in real people.

I'm also glad they didn't use a real dog. I don't know if an animated Scooby would have made a good movie though either. So I guess CGI was the best choice. Thanks for putting things in perspective for me. I never really thought about the other options. I agree that CGI was the best option for Scooby. I'm glad they didn't go with a real dog. That would have turned out terrible. I don't think an animated version in the live-action movies would have worked either. It wouldn't have looked right for everybody else to be in live-action form, and Scooby be animated.

And I didn't like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr as Daphne and Fred. I still didn't like Freddie Prinze Jr. and Sarah Michelle Gellar as Fred and Daphne. I'm sorry to hear you didn't like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prinze Jr.'s performances. Not everybody can be happy though. I didn't have a problem with their acting.

Anyone notice the continuity error in Scooby 2? Daphne says the Black Knight Ghost was their very first case, yet they have the costume of Chickenstien{which is a Pup villain right?} What they meant is that "What a Night for a Knight" was the very first episode of the original series. They were breaking the fourth wall and giving it special recognition because that's where the entire Scooby franchise begins. It has a special importance to many fans as a result, especially those of us who grew up during the 70's runs. Pup's a cute Scooby show, but I think they had their priorities right with the Black Knight shout out. Anyhow, I love the live actions (especially the second one), but the animation is still my favorite medium for Scooby.
