Animated of course. Though I do admit I like the live action movies.

I never watched the 2nd one, but I will. Maybe this weekend during the snow storm, we'll watch both live action movies. I think I was so annoyed that they made Scooby CGI that I went into watching the first movie telling myself to hate it. I think I'm over that now, and maybe after watching it again I'll like them.

I'm glad they didn't use a real dog like they did with Underdog. It just wouldn't seem right.

What if they had done Scooby animated instead of CGI?

I'm also glad they didn't use a real dog. I don't know if an animated Scooby would have made a good movie though either. So I guess CGI was the best choice. Thanks for putting things in perspective for me. I never really thought about the other options.

You're right. Animated Scooby proably wouldn't have worked either. I do think the CG Scooby looked better in the second movie.

I still didn't watch the movies. But now that everyone has the flu, I may have some time to watch them while they are all sleeping.

Just watch them! I defo like animated better but there are some good aspects of the live action movies! I don't think Scooby would've worked atall as a real dog, and I also 3think that making him animated wouldn't have looked good at all! So like you guys, I think that making Scoob a CGI was the best and probably only option!

Ok, so we watched Scooby-Doo, the first live action movie tonight. I saw it when it first came out at my niece's birthday party at the drive-in, but I had an infant at the time and a bad attitude towards live action Scooby, so I wasn't really paying much attention to the movie. I'll admit that the movie wasn't too bad. I still stick with my original critique...Matthew Lillard and Linda Cardellini made the BEST Shaggy and Velma! And I didn't like Sarah Michelle Gellar and Freddie Prince Jr as Daphne and Fred. The movie, overall was pretty enjoyable, despite the characters. Having Scrappy as the villain made sone sense, since he annoyed everyone. It could have been better if he wasn't in it at all, but at least he wasn't a part of the gang. We'll be watching Scooby-Doo 2 tomorrow I have never seen that movie before.

I always wondered what happened to Shaggy's girlfriend from the first movie.

I didn't like the girlfriend! Wasn't she one of those creatures though?
