Is there a definitive list of all Scooby Doo Comic Books published? I know there were series run by Charlton, Gold Key, Archie, Marvel, DC and possibly others. Just curious. Thanks in advance for any help!

@ ScoobyAddict - Thanks for the welcome. I'm kinda reliving my childhood Scooby addiction through my daughter. The comic book thing is something that I thought I could share with her. She is 4 and totally mental when it comes to Scooby.
@ SpiderScooby - Hey - it appears there was a Harvey imprint for the comic books as well.

Just to give everyone a heads up, the 6 Scooby Doo trade paperback collections that DC put out are now out of print. These collected the early run of their series...which is the material that they are mixing around and reprinting as the new monthy "Scooby Doo Where are You? comic series.
With some searching, or with secondary Amazon market place sellers, you can still find most of these graphic novel collections at (or less than) retail cover price.
The volumes I'm refering to are: 1)Scooby Doo: You Meddling Kids! 2)Scooby Doo: Ruh-Roh 3)Scooby-Doo: All Wrapped Up! - Volume 3 4)Scooby-Doo: The Big Squeeze! - Volume 4 (this volume seems to be the most difficult one to track down cheaply for a New copy) 5)Scooby-Doo: Surf's Up! - Volume 5 6)Scooby-Doo: Space Fright! - Volume 6

I coulda sworn the original post & link was in this thread, but I wanted to thank whomever posted the amazon link to the cd-rom of classic scooby comics. (it was Spiderscooby I think?) I got it the other day for $2.99 with free shipping (yea free prime trial), and it's totally worth it. It has the first 20 gold key issues in PDF format, with quite a few of them retelling the classic Scooby-Doo where are you episodes. It's definitely worth the cheap price IMO, especially if you are into comics

I actually purchased that Scooby Comics CD-Rom a week ago and it was well worth it as you said j3h; I didn't get the free shipping though.

whats really curious is that this current run of Scooby comics are pretty much just reprints of the last series of DC comics...so what has been slipped in or wasn't cought the first time around that DC will take the $$$ loss of destroying an entire print run???

That is interesting. Glad they're doing that though. I'm all for making Scooby a little more grown up now and then, but not like that.
Kind of a side note, but I was looking over a Hardy Boys website recently, and they had a poll asking whether fans thought it was okay that they've (apparently) started adding some curse words to the new books. I didn't care for that either. One because I don't think it's usually all that necessary to begin with, and two not for classics that were always intended to be good role models to some extent anyway.

Going by posts on the original article's comments forum, two possibilities as to why the comic was recalled have been presented by people who have it in hand. The first is that there is an in-house ad for "absolute V for Vendetta", which is a mature readers book which should not be advertised in an all ages DC publication (it goes against their own rules) The second is less likely but possible; "Might be page 3 On page three there is a reference to "Terrible" Terry Harris of the Pittsland football team that had the "Ridiculous Recovery" against Clevertown in the 1980 divisional playoffs. This is clearly an homage to Franco Harris of the Pittsburgh Steelers and his "Immaculate Reception" in the 1972 game against the Raiders. The picture of him on the wikipedia entry even looks like the character. The jersey number is also one number off from the real Harris. This might be a similar situation to Todd McFarlane's use of Tony Twist and the subsequent lawsuit. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Franco_Harris..." I say less likely for this one because what it's bring compared to, McFarlane took a sports personality that he on record said he disliked and turned his name and likeness into a villian. In this scooby issue, they are just making a sports reference that fans would recognize as a homage...nothing malicious.
