Good idea, but I need to get ScoobyAddict's permission before I do this.

ScoobyAddict, have you been making 1,000 posts Admin?, because that's what it seems like. I would be okay with it being more than that, but over 5,000 posts before Admin seems a bit high.

Posts have nothing to do with admins. Admins are the group that control sites.

I know that. I was just asking ScoobyAddict if she made a certain number of posts Admin.

The number of posts has nothing to do with who becomes an admin. i actually have made Doo and SpiderScooby admins because they have been here for years and I wasn't always able to get on the forum so I wanted to be sure that there were other admins here to help out.

Oh. I just didn't think it would be very fair if someone has just over 1,000 posts and be Admin, but someone else could have over 5,000 and not be. It would take most people a very long time to get past 5,000, and Doo said more ranks would be added after that.

No offense to anyone, I just think if everyone is allowed to be an admin it could cause trouble. I mean, anyone can post a million posts to get the admin status and then once they have it they could delete everything. We can add other ranks besides just the ones I had, but not admin ranks. It will also get confusing if everyone is able to become an admin. I hope you understand!!

Yes, I understand. I don't want the site to get vandalized by people. I wouldn't have people automatically become Admins at a certain number of posts either. But it's kind of like, what is the point of having ranks if they just go on and on forever? And two people that you made Admins don't even come on anymore.

Doo and SpiderScooby are the only other admins. Doo is here all the time, SS is here sometimes. He runs ScoobyFan.net, so I don't expect him to be here all the time, but I saw him as a great fit as an admin with his background.

When I said two people I was talking about danielmcloughlin and littlebixuit. They seem to not come on anymore. I see now that only danielmcloughlin was Admin.

Daniel was a regular here, but I haven't seen him in a while.

It's strange how they would have that many posts and then not come on anymore.

A lot of people that were here for years are gone now. Not sure why, I guess they just get busy and forget about the forum.

Could be. Or maybe Scooby was just a phase for them and they got bored with it. That would never happen for me though! I've loved Scooby all my life.
