I understand what you mean, but I respectfully disagree with there being something wrong with "safe." I guess it depends on exactly the context we're talking about, but creativity, to me, is about creating - which means making something new. "Safe" in this context mean pandering to the audience and doing what has been done before out of fear. THAT'S the big problem. Art motivated by fear is raerely inspired. But what do I know? I made, probably, the second most hated SD series of ll time and took use risks. That said, if they aired it even 1/8 as much as TTG, maybe an audience would have discovered the show and grown to love it like so many who have given it a chance. We'll never know. I have friends working on the new series and I wish them the greatest success. What's New Scooby Doo is my favourite of all the series, but I don't want endless WNSD, that's not safe, that's boring. BCSD was different, but once you got over the initial reaction to the art the story carried the day, the differences were there for a reason, not just to be different. It doesn't matter if the next one is safe (more WNSD style shows) or risky and edgy (claymation with all dialogue in iambic pentameter), it will be stuffed up by CN and their inability to schedule the show. Probably.

There's nothing wrong with safe, it gives people time to draw breath and hopefully reflect and learn some lessons. For WB and CN hopefully learning to leave well alone and that they are the architects of many of the issues the Scooby as a franchise has had. The problem is if we only ever get safe. Haha. No, I wasn't offended at all. I was just joking around because everyone here knows so much more about Scooby than I do. JCB, I'm gonna be honest with you;and not many people know this... I thought I grew out of my Scooby Doo phase a LONG time ago.. I was with the "Omg childhood ruined!" crowd for a short while and when the series aired I decided.. "lets watch this"..and I. fell. in. love. It was AMAZING not to mention funny and well written. It brought me back to my childhood and reminded me why I loved Scooby Doo so much! Now I cant wait to see what comes next. I could not be ashamed of saying it's my favorite cartoon right now; possibly ever! You did a GREAT job of recreating the series from the chases to the monsters. Your attempts at being original and trying new things have all been Grade A. Looking forward to the rest of season 2... (P.S.: So uh.. any way we can get a playlist or soundtrack of those chase songs... the music for this show is also amazing...) That is so sweet and greatly appreciated. I've said this before, but, despite people's initial reactions to the art, the whole point of BCSD WAS to bring people back to what we felt the original 1969 show WOULD be if it was done today. Knowing that we reached so many people and entertained them and made them laugh makes it all worth it. I hope you enjoy the remainder of the series, despite the last few being tampered with. There's plenty to enjoy if you've grown to love these characters as much as I grew to love them. I'm afraid the next Scooby series will be playing it extremely safe and everything that made BCSD so original and fun has been wiped away. I guess many people will be thrilled with that, but I think it's a shame they didn't learn the lesson that strong characters and giving the gang unique comic points of view, as well as pushing the humor into intelligent, absurd places all ages can enjoy is a GOOD thing. The art was REALLY the only problem in the end. They'll throw the baby out with the bathwater, though. Trust me. I've heard through the grapevine what's coming next. SAFE. It's a shame, but I hope people enjoy it, nonetheless. I have friends working on it and I only wish the best for them. One day BCSD will be recognized as the strange, funny little Scooby series that got away. I don't think they'll be a soundtrack. There's barely a show. I doubt they see the value in releasing a soundtrack to a show they don;'t air. I can ask around, but it's doubtful. Either way, thank you again for your encouraging message. It means more than you realize. xo Best, JCB

Wait, was Shagy ever dressed as a pocket in a past episode or did I mange to come up with an original idea for a Scooby series? Don't be sad, JCB. I know you have a lot of original ideas, but the references caught my attention in this episode. I loved Daphne dressed as Velma dressed as a Zombie and how the mystery actually started many years ago, though, it was a big twist. Be Cool, Scooby-Doo mixes new and old elements. Sometimes I like the new elements, sometimes the old ones. I hope I didn't offend you. Haha. No, I wasn't offended at all. I was just joking around because everyone here knows so much more about Scooby than I do.

I really enjoyed the episode. There were so many references! Anyone else notice that, in one of the past halloweens, Daphne and Velma were dressed as Thorn and Dusk from The Hex Girls? Also Shaggy was Dressed as Hyde from the first Series Wait, was Shagy ever dressed as a pocket in a past episode or did I mange to come up with an original idea for a Scooby series?

It's been awhile since I've been on here. The new sepia idea I need to get caught up on though. Which would be considered best ones to see first? According to CN and WB, the answer is, apparently, "Teen Titans Go."

When the guy who did it was shown putting together the werewolf costume (and I pretty much figured out who it was going to be), that reminded me of when I was building my Disney Big Bad Wolf fursuit head last spring. But it doesn't have as many teeth. If I want something like that, I'd probably go for this mask... (I hope to buy one once I get enough money! It also reminds me of the "Big Top Scooby-Doo" werewolves.) Now all you need is an abandoned amusement park to scare people away from.

Oh and jcb, is the plant inspired by agent plant from Phineas and Ferb? Glad you liked it. I wrote it with a very talented writer and friend, Michael Ludy. I wish you could have seen what we originally intended. Amelia was supposed to played as a more friendly, down to earth girl who we would understand that Shaggy would have a crush on. I think they made her too creepy and dark, which took the sweetness out of the romantic story for me. Also the Goth leader was turned into this odd baby person, but they kept the dialogue, which was a horrible mistake. The Goth leader was supposed be a gaunt Trent Reznor type and very flamboyant. I can see that since I know what the episodes SHOULD have been, my opinion is biased. Not knowing what I know, I'm glad the episodes still work for young's. I tend to focus not he negative, which I shouldn't, because there's still so much great stuff that was kept. Either way, I hope the remaining episodes work for you guys. I worry. The last few were changed a lot. Every word, every scene, every character is there for a reason. Any change made without considering the episode as whole, without thinking holistically about the whole episode is dangerous and can unravel an otherwise great show. Finger crossed.

Oh and jcb, is the plant inspired by agent plant from Phineas and Ferb? Haha. No, he was not - the idea was simply that the Goths assumed their monster would be cool and gothy - but it's a plant monster, which bums them out.

AK has been very kind to BCSD. I appreciate him trying to get the word out and combatting the preconceived notions based on the art.

The series finale is a two-parter based on some ideas I had very early in season 1 that I had planned to explore as the series developed. I slowly began shaping things very subtly moving into season 2 so the idea worked organically as a series finale. That said, I understand things were changed a lot after I left, so I can't really vouch for it, personally - especially the second part. We'll see. Wow,Really! Then, what is the name of two part series finale ? and are the production team you no longer work with really gonna use it before they end production? Sorry, I can't talk about more specifics until WB officially releases that information. From what I understand, all of season 2 is completed, including the series finale.

Sorry, that information can't be released until WB officially releases it. I hope it is not an immediate life or death reason you NEED to know it. Regardless, welcome to this forum!

Which is why everything thing should be written in maths or Latin. Perhaps both, just to be sure. Still I enjoyed this episode, and liked the twist towards the end. In so many ways it is math and Latin. Glad you enjoyed it, though. It's still a big, fun episode that tries a bunch of new things, takes chances and attempts to explore character in an unusual way.

Trust Agent Conductor. If other countries knew the information on that chip, the free world would have been in peril. The United States needed to prevent even their allies from discovering this information, because it revealed secret plans of a "non-free world" country, which would have alarmed the rest of the world and threatened it - forcing their hands and leading to war. Fortunately, the U.S. and and two other countries (which ones are classified) uncovered this plot and stopped it. Serious black bag stuff. Hmmm, we just put it in a special bag and give it to a 'special courier'. And then there's the paperwork, lots of paperwork. That's classified.
