....Basically they complete each other. Kind of like the dynamic between Spider-man and Mary Jane. Spidey can be VERY uptight but being around fun-loving partygirl MJ has a stabilizing influence on him. So what we want is a Shaggy and Velma version of 'Amazing Spider-Man Renew Your Vows'?

I've never read that arc. I just meant that they can work because they complete each other. I just used Spidey and Mary Jane as an example.

True, but there is comedy in the picture of the two of them becoming web-slinging crime-fighters. I once came up with an idea for a story where Lamont Cranston dies leaving Shaggy (someone he never met) his estate and a mysterious ring. The ring would gift Shaggy all of Cranston's mind clouding powers as the Shadow. I figured Velma would fill the role once occupied by Margo Lane. My logic was simple. Cranston knew what evil lurks in the hearts of men because he once gave in to it. Shaggy knows what evil lurks in the hearts of men because he's always getting chased by people who gave in to the evil.

I don't hate her like how I hate Fred but I think she is just boring.

I don'r hate Velma, I just have no interest in her, at least in the older episodes. Sure, she was a vital element in solving mysteries, but I am not a big fan of thicker glasses and her original hairstyle combined.
At least her hairstyle started to get better in the 21st century incarnations, and I had no problem with her by 2010 when SDMI was launched.
This is why I tend to focus mainly on "The New Scooby and Scrappy-Doo Show", "What's New" and SDMI, though ironically, i do have a small number of select older episodes with Velma in them, but more because of certain scenes.
To sum it up, I prefer the 21st century Velma more than the classic Velma.

That's pretty broad question. Velma is one character yes but the characters are very dynamic. I'm not sure if it's linked to voice actors, but it seems like the characters change based on who's playing them. My favorite actor for her is Mindy Cohn. She puts alot of sass into Velma which is charming in small doses, but constantly hearing it is pretty annoying. What I mean is the actual voice she does. The pitch, accent, stuff like that. Even if I don't like the lines, she delivers them well. It does make sense to make such a smart character rude, but as far as the movies and tv shows go you either get all of it or none of it. If she managed it a bit more, Mindy Cohn could literally be Velma. The most recent iteration, Kate Micucci is strange. For me, she comes off as a nerd stereotype; how nasal she sounds when delivering on the lines, and the tone she's on. She can be aloof like Mindy, but ultimately it's circumstantial and never just whenever she wants to be il. She says "uh" a lot, and those types of filler words turn me off even more. These are only two examples but I think you get the gist. It really differs on what her lines are and who's playing her. Since I don't know who writes lines specifically I couldn't judge for that so sorry if it seems like I'm bashing.

When you have very bad eyesight, like I do, you pick thicker frames for a couple of reasons, firstly it cuts down on the amount of internal reflection within the lens and secondly, you can find them when you put them down.

IMHO SDWAY & Pup Named Scooby-Doo Velma is peak Velma. M:I and recent DTV Velma is the worst. Although, I have a soft spot for the Mook Velma (BJ Ward). I'm a fan of the character. Was sad that she, Fred, and Daphne left the show in the late 70's & early 80's. Was nice to have Daphne back in 13 Ghosts, but the gang just isn't complete without Fred and Velma.

For the most part. My favorites are the Scooby Doo Show Velma and Mook Velma probably. I only have a problem with recent Velma with Mystery Incorporated and from what I've heard (I'm NOT going to watch it) recent movie Velma particularly in Return to Zombie Island
