Hopefully they will release it there too. It's not on Amazon, Forbidden Planet, WBShop or any other UK site I looked at. It is possible it is just a region 1 release and as interesting as it may be I'm not getting a region 1 blu-ray player just for it.

Pre-orders are live and I've already grabbed mine. Where from and how much? $90 USD and it's on both Amazon and WBShop from what I've heard.

This will be a great buy! Hopefully they will release this set as just a normal edition at a cheaper price though. Either that or they may split the set into the complete 1st/2nd season & the 3rd on BluRay.
I'm much more excited to get the original 25 episodes

I preordered this, but really, how many different packages can they release SDWAY in? I have them all and most have never been opened. It is cool for the 50th though.

26. Watch Out! The Willawaw! 27. To Switch a Witch 28. A Creepy Tangle in the Bermuda Triangle 29. The Creepy Case of Old Iron Face 30. A Highlight Fling with a Monstrous Thing 31. A Scary Night With a Snow Beast Fright 32. The Tar Monster 33. Jeepers, It’s the Jaguaro 34. The Creepy Creature of Vulture’s Claw 35. Who Was That Cat Creature I Saw You With Last Night? (a.k.a. The Beast is Awake in Bottomless Lake 41. The Warlock of Wimbledon More of a random observation than anything else, but that weird order they have season 3 in here is also the way it's listed on both Amazon and the Boomerang service, which leads me to believe there might be some validity to it. watch.boomerang.com/shows/scooby-doo-franchise/series/scooby-doo-series/scooby-doo-show/173/volume-3 Or maybe it was the production order? Anyone have any idea? To point it out as well, 13 Ghosts is also in a different order, which I remember aired on the Boomerang network in this order too.

So has there been any restoration work done on these episodes to go with the Blu-Ray upgrade?
I seem to recall some discussion awhile back about them looking better on the Boomerang subscription service or something.
Just curious if they've cleaned up the images, removed debris, that sort of thing.
Thanks. Mark

linkI'd rather wait for the original series itself on blu-ray, with missing elements like the instrumental theme song, the commercial intros, and restored laugh track on 'A Clue for Scooby Doo' and 'Decoy For a Dognapper.' WB has recently restored tho original network broadcast elements for "Jonny Quest" and "The Jetsons." "Scooby Doo Where Are You?" deserves the archival treatment too.

Mark They do look very clean and sharp on the Boomerang service, though there are still times when the animation cels look kind of dusty, but that was done during the animation process. (We all know Hanna-Barbera didn't really have much of a quality control department back then.) I wouldn't be surprised if they look the same on the Blu-Ray set. If they do look the same or even better, I'll definitely want to get one of those sets for my birthday if there are still any left.

Well, I caved in and bought the box set, because it was on sale at Amazon.com for $59.99 (and still is, to my knowledge.) So far I only watched some episodes on the first disc (including two of my favorites, "The Backstage Rage" and "Never Ape an Ape Man"), and they sure look and sound great. They look pretty much the same as the Boomerang service; I didn't see any film artifacts, but the animation cels themselves occasionally get dusty (like I said, H-B didn't really have much for quality control back then). It appears Warner Bros. restored the show from the original negatives or something; I think it's like when they started remastering the Looney Tunes cartoons around 2003; they were remastered in high-definition, but originally only released in standard-definition form on DVD, but the folks at Warner Home Video knew high-definition would someday become the norm. A difference from the Boomerang service versions is that they end with the original Hanna-Barbera logo, just like on the DVD set, followed by the current Warner Bros. Television Distribution logo (the episodes have no ending logos on the Boomerang service).
