zac efron is pretty good as a voice actor. his parodies of bill joel on robot chicken are hilarious

Is it just me or do all the actors kinda look like the characters themselves but more mature (like Zombie Island). Are they secretly planning on making a live-action too? Mh. Maybe it’s a similar situation to Carmen Sandiego when they first released the new Netflix animated series and announced that they will be producing a live action with the same actors.

Ok so I saw this Eli Ray kid on IMDB as Young Scooby / Fred and I was wondering if it was a fake so I dug up some info. Apparently it’s true and he says it in this interview: youtu.be/61W0_R-aRiUWhat we can notice is that he also calls the movie Scoob, he voiced Scooby and Fred as younger selves which means that we will most likely see a flashback sequence (maybe the A Pup Named Scooby-Doo sequence Tony Cervone teases on his insta). Also this was filmed in February and he already completed his voice over apparently so things are def movie forward. Also I saw a release date for the Dutch cinemas on a Dutch website saying it will come out on May 13th here which is not too unlikely since a lot of movies get a world premiere in Europe sometimes. So yea, most likely we’ll hear something about this very soon

I live in the Netherlands so I meant that it might be coming out a few days earlier “here”, not in the States. Even if it’s too early to speculate that from a random Dutch site, I just thought it was not impossible since a lot of times Europe gets world premieres before the States. Also, if course I meant 2020, not this year.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility this might be a movie that gets a few days earlier release outside the states. This being one of those points I tend to harp on, a part of our successes may include a good chunk of people that aren't American. Given that we represent a mix of multiple countries here some of these properties may actually do better numbers internationally than we currently believe. WB would obviously have better knowledge of those numbers than any of us here would have.
I believe this is also one of those movies WB will be waiting on the international totals on before knowing how much steam to put on or stop going forward.

I dunno, it might not get a theatrical release outside of the US, if it does it might not be a particularly wide one as what is the appeal?
IMO the film sounds like a hot mess at the moment, maybe things will firm up but a 'Scooby with random characters only your parents have heard of' isn't that catchy.

Oh nooo, trust me you are very wrong on this. Every single Warner Brother Animation theatrical release you get we get too. We also get a lot of promo as well don’t worry. Moreover we get talents to make the voice overs as well (so famous people that aren’t really that good at dubbing but they just wanna attract as many people as they can). This is a fully fledged Hollywood animated movie so don’t worry about it not being released or else.

I'm worries about the content, I don't really care if it's released in the cinema or not as I haven't been to the cinema in years so probably won't be going to see it in any case. But with what we've heard about the story and the changes to the VAs, I'll probably be giving it a miss when it comes on out on DVD as well.

Well I was clearly replying to the first part of your post. Also, no I wasn’t being sarcastic. Also I will 100% watch it at the movies because it’s an event you don’t see often. But yeah, I’m not interested on the plot either but you never know. After all it’s going to be Scooby Doo centered. I will just treat it as a crossover episode of The new Scooby doo movies

Whether I watch it or not is going to depend entirely on the trailers and probably reviews as well.

I will just treat it as a crossover episode of The new Scooby doo movies I'm not wasting my time and money seeing something just because it's a Scooby film, and it's not even a 'full fat' Scooby film, it's full of other characters who are there because... WB have finally realised they have a pile of unused IP sitting collecting dust? Scooby crossovers are at best OK but with the gang shoved to the sides to make way for the 'stars' and this will be no different. Gourmet Ghost was OK but Speed Demon was just a dumpster fire, so I hope for a Gourmet Ghost but fear it will be another Speed Demon.
