According to Bleeding Cool DC is looking to reduce the number of titles that it publishes, perhaps even as few as 22 titles. As DC handles the Scooby Doo titles will they make the cut given that many slots would already be spoken for (Detective Comics, Batman, Batgirl, Harley Quinn etc.). You do have to wonder if the smaller selling titles like WAY and Team-up will survive the cut. More information in expected at ComicsPRO next week.

Also Team-up may not sell well in the UK, but according to one of the employees in my local comic book store, It's actually reasonably popular here in the US. American children and teens don't have standards as high as British minors probably do. Your children grew up surrounded largely by high culture. We Americans often find pop culture more appealing.

In the US Team-Up sells ~5000 copies per issue with IIRC WAY being ~1000 issues less. There have been quite a few changes at DC, people being let go, contracts not being renewed, WB sticking their oar in etc. that the rumour mill is going strong. DiDio may have said 'Denied LOL' on Facebook but DC have not given an official response to the claims

DiDio may have said 'Denied LOL' on Facebook but DC have not given an official response to the claims I think that has less to do with the health of the series itself and more to do with the fact that comic books don't anywhere near as well as they did decades past, especially not tie-in titles. Batman or Green Lantern are always going to sell in big numbers. Scooby and Hanna-barbera in general is a cash cow in Warner's opinion. Team-up probably sells better than Apocalypse did. They're not just going to cancel Three Scooby Comics without making DC create a new Scooby comic to replace them. If Team-up gets axed it will probably be replaced by a new series that is virtually identical in most ways. Warner seems to use this title to explain elements of the main DC universe to the young readers being introduced to many of these characters for the first time.

Apocalypse has always sold more than Team-Up, even now it's over 10000 issues sold a month. At is peak Apocalypse was even going toe-to-toe with the big guns as it was in the top 20 of all comics sold.

I have a feeling that, for DC to reduce the number of comic book titles it publishes, leaving only the core titles, this is a sure sign that the comic book (and print) industry is in decline, and DC appears to be no exception.
Back in the 1980s, you could easily buy a comic book with a $1 bill. Today, you probably need a $10 bill to buy just one issue. No wonder the industry is in decline!

of course comic books are in decline. they have been since the 80s. the advent of the internet basically signaled the doom for brick and mortar places, as well as things that print, like newspapers or comic books. at this point the only comics that still sell are the name brand ones, and even those only sell a fraction of what they used to.

I wonder if this news might mean the demise of DC Comics? I bet talks are ongoing, and the way I see it, Superman could be no more, at least in the comic book industry. Makes me wonder if Marvel will suffer next?
