Didn't know where else to post this but Scrappy has a very brief cameo in a recent Wacky Races. Dick is competing against a younger female racer. Dastardly activates a canon on the Mean Machine that shoots out Snagglepuss carrying TNT ("There are no small parts, only small actors! Exit stage aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!"). The girl responds by activating a canon that shoots Scrappy holding a cartoon bomb ("Scrappy Dappy Doo!"). The two crash into each other and blow up. The episode has only aired in the UK so far and this is just a clip that has been posted on Twitter so I don't know if either of them are in the rest of the episode. Scrappy sounded like Innes so it might have been an archival recording. That's unfortunate that they're doing the "Scrappy sucks haha!" jokes even in other shows.

Kind of surprised there were no references to Scrappy in the Teen Titans Go episode given how the majority of TTG's jokes are about characters being annoying and fans overreacting to change

That is one of the reasons why I refuse to support WB animation. If I ever watch their content it will be on watchcartoononline or kisscartoon.
I honestly wonder how Disney would have treated Scrappy and 13 Ghosts if they had brought Hanna-Barbera instead of WB.

Refusing to support a company because they aren't properly respectful to an 80s cartoon sidekick seems pretty dumb but idk!

I really don't see how any long time Scooby fan could support WB animation after ruining 13 Ghosts and Zombi Island.

I really don't see how any long time Scooby fan could support WB animation after ruining 13 Ghosts and Zombi Island. They didn't in any way ruin the original films; they just made very lackluster sequels that didn't live up to to the originals. The issue is simply studio interference and potentially the current writers not doing enough research into making sure there were no continuity issues. I have hope that this will hopefully improve sometime in the future.

I think the issue is mainly WB's studio interference, but my other piece about the writers not doing enough research is just my curiosity of if WB told them to directly contradict Zombie Island by saying they visited it for a school project. Doesn't seem like a necessary contradiction IMO, whereas their lack of inclusion of Scrappy was a direct result of WB's restriction not to include Scrappy.

Scrappy may have remained unscrapped in Canada all this time, which explains Teletoon's appreciation for Scrappy (hence the reruns of "13 Ghosts" in recent years), unlike in the U.S. But, maybe Teletoon could have been airing Scooby bootlegs all along. There was a Canadian broadcast of "The New Scooby-Doo Mysteries" which has the Canadian "C" rating in the top left hand corner, and even the closed captioning icon in another corner, implying possibly being a bootleg from a recording of a 1984 ABC broadcast, which ASN aired that same season, and were acquired by Teletoon and its now-defunct sister network, Teletoon Retro.
I find that a lot of programming on Teletoon and later Teletoon Retro were previously aired on other networks, such as ASN (now known as CTV Two Atlantic), and maybe even CITV (now a Global network). Teletoon may have acquired bootlegs, and when Teletoon Retro was on the air, they may have been airing the same bootlegs, plus also shows that were aired directly from a purchased DVD ("Garfield and Friends" is a good example, as normally the syndication package has only episodes from September 1988 to mid-October 1992, whereas Teletoon Retro aired the full series, including the 1993 and 1994 seasons, though the 1994 season had the salsa opening instead of the hip-hop opening).
However, regarding Scrappy on Canadian broadcasts, Teletoon Retro never aired any Scrappy episodes during the network's final year on the air. In fact, they aired The New Scooby-Doo Movies as the only classic Scooby series during that time.
It may be possible that many of the Scrappy series, save for "13 Ghosts", were never released to DVD, though a small number of segments did make it to various DVDs.

Well maybe Scooby should be handed over to Canada than.
