I think we've made threads year after year for what Scooby-Doo episodes we watch around Halloween. However, I'd be interested in hearing what other Halloween movies or TV show episodes people enjoy watching!
My list to start us off: Movies The Nightmare Before Christmas (best Halloween movie ever!) Beetlejuice The Addams Family (any of the movies or series, it's generally random each year) Hotel Transylvania (first one and sometimes the second one. Wouldn't recommend anyone watch three though, it's terrible)
TV Show episodes The Simpsons Treehouse of Horror episodes (I've always thought the earlier ones were better, though if I have time, I try to do a marathon one night (or multiple nights) of all of them) The Flintstones ("A Haunted House is Not a Home," "Dr. Sinister," "The Gruesomes" from the original series, along with the Rockula and Frankenstone and New Neighbors movies, and two episodes from the recently-acquired "The New Fred and Barney Show" from the 70s - "Stone Age Werewolf" and "The Flintstones Meet The Frankenstones.") The Jetsons - "Haunted Halloween" Sabrina the Teenage Witch (live action series) - any of the Halloween episodes though usually gravitate towards "The Phantom Menace" The Munsters - random episodes, though I usually gravitate towards "Herman's Peace Offensive" or "Herman's Happy Valley"
I feel like I'm probably missing some, though I generally just watch whatever I'm in the mood for in the above list (as I unfortunately don't have time to watch all of these every year).

Do you like the late 90s Addams Family sitcom remake "The New Addams Family"? It retells stories from the original but there are a few differences like everything being modernized and Uncle Fester being Gomez' brother rather than Morticia's uncle. In fact in the remake series, Gomez is the older brother and Fester is the younger brother.

Up at Bat
Voodoo
And Then There were None
The Andy Griffith Show episode where Andy, Barney and Gomer investigate a supposedly haunted house looking for a baseball Opie lost.

I should really watch it sometime, I love the original 60s series as well as the two films from the 90s.

Let's see... the non Scooby stuff I watch for Halloween includes: "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" (on DVD, because ABC always edits it in favor of "Toy Story of Terror" which has NOTHING to do with Halloween), "Garfield's Halloween Adventure," "The Paul Lynde Halloween Special," "The Halloween Tree," "Halloween is Grinch Night," "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Trick-or-Treason," "Winnie-the-Pooh: Boo to you Too!," "A Disney Halloween," "Recess: Taking the Fifth Grade," several Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episodes and the 2015 canon episode "Halloween of Horror," the Rugrats episodes "Candy Bar Creep Show" and "Curse of the Werewuff," the "Family Guy" episode "Halloween on Spooner Street" (uncensored, too!), the Franklin episode "Franklin's Halloween," the Arthur episode "Arthur and the Haunted Treehouse," the Fairly OddParents episode "Scary Godparents," the Hey Arnold! episode "Arnold's Halloween," the Rocko's Modern Life episode "Sugar Frosted Frights," the Animaniacs episode "Scare-Happy Slappy," the Littles episode "The Littles' Halloween," the Goosebumps episodes "The Haunted Mask" and "The Haunted Mask 2," and such Looney Tunes cartoons as "Broomstick Bunny" and "A-Haunting We Will Go!" Yup, I've got a LOT to watch through the month, but I'm lovin' every minute of it!

[See, I knew I would forget something! I watch It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown along with the "You're Not Elected" episode that's a bonus feature on that DVD (I imagine for Election Day which usually is a day or two after Halloween). ABC still airs it every year, but they don't really announce or promote it anymore, as the special now has to play second fiddle to Pixar's "Toy Story of Terror," which usually pulls in higher-ratings and DOES get promoted. When they pair it with "Toy Story of Terror," they cut out everything from the opening credits to Linus beginning to write his letter to the Great Pumpkin, and Schroeder playing his piano for Snoopy. Justified in that Disney owns ABC and Pixar, but that doesn't mean ABC has to treat a beloved timeless Peanuts special like crud for that reason! They do re-air it unedited near the end of the month, paired with "You're Not Elected Charlie Brown," but they NEVER announce or promote that re-airing. They just use it as filler material when they need something to fill a vacant 8 to 9 PM spot on the schedule. It's pretty obvious ABC's interest in the Peanuts is waning, especially since DHX Media now co-owns the franchise. Their contract to air the specials expires in 2020, so I can see them moving to another network afterward. Wouldn't be the first time; they originally aired on CBS prior to 2001. (Maybe they could move to FOX, as the newest Peanuts specials have aired on that network.)

Interesting about Beetlejuice being a horror film first, then switched to a comedy. Can't really see it being a full-fledged horror movie.

From the beginning of October to the beginning of November is the only time each year I watch the ID (Investigation Discovery) channel. That's my Halloween tradition lol!

Since Halloween is next month, feels like a good time for a bump! I always watch Ernest Scared Stupid! I had the film on VHS as a child, and it's been one of my favorite Halloween films ever since.
Last year I picked up Elvira, Mistress of Darkness on DVD and watched that movie for the first time, and it's such a fun film, perfect movie to go along with Ernest. Definitely plan on watching it every year from now on!
I always watch some classic Universal Monster stuff, Dracula, Frankenstein, and Wolf Man especially I try and get watched some time during the month.
It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown is a must watch every year.
Then it's all just kind of random, whatever's on tv that October.

I LOVE the Universal Monster stuff, vakanai . Watch them ever year (always saving Dracula for Halloween Day) The Hammer horror films I'm quite fond of as well. Not really a fan of "Nightmare Before Christmas" (No love for Thanksgiving, the holiday in between?) - and have come to replace it with the "Scary Godmother" TV films. Always enjoyed catching those on TV. Although not really Halloween movies, I usually watch "Back to the Future" with the family in October (since that's when the first film is set, anyway). Just recently picked up the complete series of the 1966-1968 Batman TV show with the late great Adam West. I'll probably add that to the yearly line-up now too!

Well, it turns out last year, while ABC's airing of the edited "Great Pumpkin" got really low ratings compared to that darn "Toy Story of Terror" non-Halloween special they pair it up with pulling in more viewers, the unedited barely-promoted re-airing later in the month pulled in some pretty high ratings! I guess even though ABC doesn't bother to promote the special much (last year they just promoted the unedited airing a few times, and to my knowledge did not promote the edited airing at all), people knew it was on and chose to watch the uncut re-airing instead of the edited version that was cut up so they could show "Toy Story of Terror" uncut. (But if they're going to go all-out promoting "Toy Story of Terror" and they know it gets high ratings compared to the edited "Great Pumpkin," then why not have "Toy Story of Terror" air at the 8 PM Eastern time slot and the edited "Great Pumpkin" come afterward, like in 2013? Most people are just going to wait for the uncut "Great Pumpkin" re-airing to be announced and watch that instead...) But again, the Peanuts contract with ABC expires in 2020, and I doubt ABC will renew it, since Peanuts is not a Disney property (and DHX/WildBrain now co-owns it with the Schulz family). I imagine the Peanuts specials will either move to FOX or the CW, or maybe even go back to CBS!

I have three non-Scooby musts for Halloween- Great Pumpkin, Curious George Boo Fest, and the Disney Sleepy Hollow.
Scooby-wise the spooky scarecrow and the headless horseman of Halloween are always on my list. This year I'll add Return to zombie island, just because it is bone-chillingly scary how anyone would figure someone would want to see that.
I'm not a big reader of fiction, in fact, this was the first fiction book I've read since...well I can remember, but I just finished Rise Headless and Ride by Richard Gleaves. I really really wanted to like it, but if you are searching for good Halloween reads, pass it over 😕
