honestly this was a really nice and enjoyable movie. It was fun to watch and the story was intriguing enough. Also the gag were quite funny as well as the second characters. I loved the dynamics between the gang as well. Velma went back to being savage as well and her and Daphne working together was great. I honestly thought the gang's characterizations showed much more personality than in the latest movies in which they were kinda dull. Also the animation was pretty dope and it had some very interesting shots which we've never seen before. The climax was there. Especially with the ghost's apparitions. He was quite creepy and when he banged on the window with his head it was horror-movie worthy. That whole scene was creepy. Also the trap set-up scene was great and again the characters had some quite funny lines

totally agree this movie is very dark and creepy reminded me a lot to scoobynatural. so much so that there was not a movie so dark and creepy. the movie was really good and it was quite exceptico for the crossover but I was surprised one of my favorites in full. It made me feel intrigued and even scared worthy of a horror movie and I had a lot of action and an intriguing story I wish it would have lasted for maybe 1 hour and 45 minutes. sometimes I feel that they should make longer movies I hope the writer tim sheridan write more great writer. the scenes of when the ghost appeared and the lights went out reminded me so much of scoobynatural even the ghost looks a lot like I think they reused animation in that movie. and several situations like the door being hit by the ghost when I was going to kill the 1700s chef. the scene that they get inside vases to hide. and the bookshelf scene and the books that make secret passages.

Wow, the reveal at the end sure surprised me; both suspects that I figured could've been the ghost (SPOILER ALERT) turned out to be one and the same!
It didn't feel much like a Hanna-Barbera cartoon though, despite the retro Iwao Takamoto-esque character designs. It felt more like a typical modern fantasy/horror film of some kind. The movie also had almost NO Hanna-Barbera sound effects in it either, save for the classic "Scooby teeth chatter" and eye blink. I suppose that had something to do with the new post-production sound editing team hired for this movie (Bang-Zoom! Entertainment).
I still got quite a few laughs out of it, though. It was actually somewhat better than I thought it would be.

While I wouldn't want to assume my local Walmart is the most competent place in the world but they broke street date on the Gourmet Ghost dvd. It was available today where I bought it. The local Target next door didn't though.

So now that I have watched my copy thanks to the luxury of having a Walmart that employs people who don't always pay attention to what they do nearby(lol) I can comment.
I enjoyed this movie pretty well. Flay and Giana in cartoon form were honestly funnier than I expected. I'm going to agree with Wiley on the Iwao comparison. Especially Nacho. He did look transported out of another era. But with the ghost's backstory did anyone else get like 90s Glenn Leopold vibes from some the ghost stories and creepy backstories he put into some of his HB work then? It came off that way to me.
Over all it was nice to see the gang solve this mystery and play with some updated kind of explanations. I say it that vaguely not to spoil. There were some pretty funny gags in this one too.
Totally probably not in my top Scooby dtv movies, but a totally enjoyable entry from start to finish.

My opinions of this movie were surprising good. I think the animation is fantastic and looks great. The mystery was really good and i kept second guessing myself on who the culprit was. I actually enjoyed Flay and Giada in this movie and was glad to see that the gang didn't take a back seat role. One of my biggest worry about these crossover movies is how the celebrity does majority of the clue finding and the gang really don't serve much of a purpose. I'm glad to say that this isn't the case. I felt that the ghost was meh and a little too clumsy for me. Some of the gags were meh and some were great.
Overall I have to say this is probably my favorite crossover movie we've gotten so far. Feels more like an original movie than a crossover. Now hopefully WB can read my mind and make a original move with no guest stars.

A great movie, especially for a crossover. But I'm not a big fan of how the last movies are all about technology and technology. I miss those "organic" mysteries, you know.

It's a Scooby cookoff as Old School Lane joins the ToonGrin Boys as they're watchin' Scooby-Doo and the Gourmet Ghost. ENJOY

I quite enjoyed this movie, I agree with others on this thread that said this was the best of the crossovers. The Red Ghost was genuinely super creepy, especially his "shushing" and facial expression. Giada and Bobby both did a great job in their roles and it didn't seem awkward or forced at all, like some of the other crossovers have. Nacho was so cute! <3
I did not, however, enjoy the humor in this film for the most part. A lot of the humor was just really lame puns and forced gags. The Daphne being jealous of Fred clapping for Giada was excruciating to watch, it's time to give that a rest already. Skip Taylor was incredibly annoying, the film could have done without him. Btw, did anyone else find Fred's sarcastic "It's not like a television personality to flake out of their responsibilities" comment to be really weird and out of place?
The mystery was pretty good as well, though easy to figure out. Only piece I didn't guess was that Henry Metcalf and the realtor were the same person, but it was pretty obvious it was both of them from the start.
The opening was one of the better ones in the past few years, I liked the little "time lapse" intro and just how they worked the American Revolution history into the film in general.

You know I thought the writers were taking a break from the whole relationship thing between the gang because in Scooby Doo and Batman Brave and the Bold, when Fred was trying to be with Black Canary, Daphne didn't react in anyway and it was refreshing to not have the whole jealousy subplot happening. I'm a little disappointed that they brought that back into this film.
Also agree with your point about Giada and Bobby doing a good job with their roles. It honestly seem liked they were having a fun time being in this movie, though I will admit it was a weird choice to have them as guest stars as i would assume most kids wouldn't know who they are.

When Skip first showed up in the movie, I yelled out, "He did it! He did it!" As the movie carried on, I realized that Skip Taylor was just too stupid to be the culprit. The crime was planned and carried out with precision. Taylor was just too flaky to pull that off. Until the culprit was exposed, I thought it was Noseworthy as he seemed to have the clearest motive.
