The Mothman Festival & The Mystery Machine

This is only Scooby-related in that the Mystery Machine will be there, except that it doesn't really look much like it at all. But something still kinda unusual that I might check out just for fun.

One of our local legends is The Mothman, which was the subject of Richard Gere's movie "The Mothman Prophecy" and a recent episode of History Channel's 'MonsterQuest'.

They have an annual Mothman Festival just north of here every fall. It looks about as scientifically serious as the average UFO convention, but could be kinda fun.

Actually the subject could be a really cool inspiration for a Scooby story. It's an unusual and slightly humorous monster and was usually seen around an old abandoned factory well outside of town. Sounds almost perfect for Scooby and the gang.

Don't know if I'll go, but thought I'd share just as a 'something fun for a Friday' sort of thing.

Thanks for sharing this. This is pretty cool to be honest. My boyfriend and I watch that show a lot to be honest. Pretty interesting sometimes. I`d go to this event if I lived around there.
