She's a pop star. With a LOT of opinions. And we LIKE OPINIONATED PEOPLE. I absolutely loathe audience members that shame celebrities for speaking up. God knows how much stuff I would advocate for if I had such a platform. I get it, you’re here for the entertainment, then just listen to the music and the persona you think they build around themselves. In the meantime I’ll be aware that they’re still people and I will agree and disagree with them but at least I’ll be glad they make people critical. Sorry for the rant, it was directed at you, I have just been so triggered to say this lately I was more referring to her catty, uncalled for remarks against other female singers and less about her political stances, but ok.

Saw the trailer and I get a tamer Be Cool vibe from this show. The style looks great! My only concern really is that none of the special guests are people I'm a fan of or have ever heard of. Either way, glad to see them finally release a trailer and hopefully they can release a return to zombie island trailer soon.

Well I am hyped for real now. I smiled so big at the sight of April, Augie, Skip and Elmo.
Also very nice to see we are returning the series to Cartoon Network, thank you WB owning CN!
And in all honesty this might be the new look going forward on the HB+ legacy properties. At first I still kind of thought this one and the shorts were the last of the experimental phase but now I'm thinking I was wrong there. If they're debuting this on CN too, I think we might see the shorts share a close enough style.

Also double post but something I just realized re-reading that article. Everybody notice the Boomerang channel is not named specifically at all? It says the streaming service, channel on VRV and Cartoon Network itself.
I've been wondering if we're not seeing the end of that linear channel but just the old segregation of Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Adult Swim and Toonami as we know them under AT&T.

Meh, the only guest stars I'm excited for are Steve Urkel and Wanda Sykes. I never would've asked for Ricky Gervais or Sia. But I'll still watch every single episode because why not? I'm a little sad they're all 20 minutes episodes, unlike the 40 minute episodes of The New Scooby-Doo Movies. But I guess people don't really make hour-long cartoon episodes anymore.

A third of that list I've never heard of, and I really don't care about Ricky Gervais, don't find him funny. Cost will be a big factor plus it is more difficult to write a longer show. New Scooby-Doo Movies often felt like 20 minutes of content spread over 40+ minutes.

The guest I’m excited most for is definitely Sia. I love her so much, she is a great human other than a super talented artist. I love her speaking voice as well as singing. Then I’d say Halsey if she’s still planned to be on it. Ricky Gervais, Whoopi Goldberg and Wanda Sykes as well, I like them all. I also didn’t see Mark Hamill on any article, interesting.
Also the rabbit monster isn’t going to be the only monster from that episode. When they’re flying out of the building on that mattress Penn is on there and as we saw from the storyboard from last year there’s a also a ghost haunting the penthouse they’re in (said ghost also appears in the trailer from the same scene as the storyboards). I’m glad we’re getting more monsters per episode every now and then. It makes it more complex. Btw that fog with ghost skulls looks very interesting as well as the cat mummy and that mud monster. Seems like they’re actually trying to create new monsters unlike Be Cool. Also in the silhouette scene there’s a bug monster that looks cool

Also food for thought. Remember most of WB's recent episode orders were either 20 or 26 half hours. This "season" right now is 13 episodes but they might be splitting them up to stall for some more time. As I explained in my long winded other thread Cartoon Network seems to have a lot more shows to burn off episodes that are already done than Boomerang and Adult Swim seem to have. I wouldn't be surprised if the guest stars that were announced at first but aren't in these 13 might be apart of the next season batch of 13.

And we LIKE OPINIONATED PEOPLE... Opinionated - characterized by conceited assertiveness and dogmatism. So, no we don't.

Most of the people guest starring are people who I've seen as a side character in one movie. I've only ever seen Ricky in Night of the Musem way back when. I also find it disappointing that a good majority of the characters guest starring are fictional characters. Hopefully, there are more people who they haven't revealed yet.

Honestly, the guest star I'm most excited about is Ricky Gervais. I've not always found his brand of humor funny (don't really care for UK The Office, myself) but he was great in the Night at the Museum films, has quite a few stand-up bits I enjoyed, and I overall find him really funny in whatever he's in. Him being in Scooby-Doo is certainly welcomed from me!
I'd love to see more comedians in Scooby, to be honest. Especially if they don't take up the spotlight too much - which is still a concern with this series, TBH. The original New Scooby-Doo Movies, while also being substantially longer, hold up really well even to this day because the focus was still on the Scooby gang. The guest star was just some cool side character that, if you don't recognize, isn't that big of a deal generally. With this series, I'll admit I don't recognize half of the announced "stars," and if background knowledge on them is required to enjoy the episode, I don't think I'll enjoy it - and it probably won't hold up very well in the long run.
Eh, let's see how this turns out. Still looking forward to it. NSDM was my favorite Scooby era, and I'm glad to see it return in some form!

That's super cool! Also, in the second picture, that looks like an original animation cel from Boo Brothers! As the youth of today would say, I think I would be deceased if I was able to own a copy of that.

<Insert look of non-recognition here> This will be a test of how good the writing is, I have no idea who this person is, never even heard of their name before, and have no need to find out. So, it the show is depending on recognition of the guest star and what they do to carry the show then there may be trouble ahead. Now I know this will come as a shock to some but the rest of the world does not know/follow/care about all aspects of American culture (and if you're French you've probably legislated against it) so for example in areas like Europe, which has more than double the combined population of the USA and Canada, there will be a lot of viewers going I have no idea who this person is, so if the writers are depending on you knowing who the guest is before hand it will not do well outside of the US. If the writers recognise this and account for it in the writing then it will be much more successful outside of the US.
