Hey ScoobyAddicts! I was thinking about this earlier today. If you were to be in charge of making a new Scooby show, how would you do it? (What classic gimmicks would you add/recurring characters/jokes/scary or silly?/etc.) I would like to hear what you guys would create; knowing how we all have different tastes and likes! -I would Title it: Who's Spooking You, Scooby Doo?" - Personally I would have a show that is 40% Comedy and 60% Scary (Basically like SDWAY but with some minor scares)
- For my Art Style/Art Direction I would either have it done in the art style used in the recent movies/specials/Scoobynatural OR using the way the gang look in their 70s appearances as they appeared in BCSD(using BCSD animation) Pictured Here: - Classic Staples of the Scooby Franchise I would include would be: 1. Classic Musical Chases (all of which written & sung by Andy Strumer...none of the instrumental ones like some BCSD episodes had..I wasn't really a fan of those) 2. The gangs original traits would be the same except for Daphne, she would be LIKE her BCSD incarnation but not something different every episode but just being cheery and eccentric . 3. The Hex Girls would make an appearance 4. The classic Monsters & Mystery story lines -New Things I would add! 1. While I would prefer classic/simple monsters (Ghosts, Zombies, Vampires, Werewolves) I would try to have some episodes where the gang deals with monsters based on actual urban legends (Mothman/ Wendigo/ Dover Demon/etc.) 2.More cameos and references to past Scooby shows and characters 3. A LYRICAL intro theme!!! (Again by Strumer...kind of like how Austin Roberts did the songs to SDWAY Season 2)
That's basically all I would add/put into a Scooby Doo show! "My show" is basically a mix between SDWAY/BCSD/WNSD formulas...I would LOVE to hear what you all would come up with!

I'd Make a next gen series starring the offspring of the gang. Scooby would be implied to be deceased only to turn out to still be alive after half of the first season due to having ingested a longevity formula during a visit to Quest Labs that extended his lifespan by over forty years. There would be crossovers with All the other HB mystery shows plus modern descendants of Fred and Wilma Flintstone and ancestors of George Jetson. Plus a guest appearance from Jonny Quest and Jessie Bannon and their future kids. The main dog character would be Scooby's mischievous granddaughter Scoutie-Doo. Scooby will be a supporting character when he finally shows up for real. Shaggy would be a cartoonist while his now wife Velma would be a forensic scientist and mystery writer.Fred would be an inventor (what he invented will never be mentioned), Daphne, his wife, will own many large businesses, either given to her as a wedding gift from her father or bought out herself. Madelyn would be a famous magician in the style of Penn and Teller. Velma would be pregnant with triplets as season one's story arc. The season finale will revolve around a mystery at the maternity hospital while Velma is in labor.

I would love to see a full series in the vein of Zombie Island. It would be fun to see that storyline continue, and have Daphne continue to be a TV show host looking for real ghosts and monsters. I'm personally a huge fan of references to past Scooby series, so I'd like to see something similar to what they did with the little references here and there from SDMI. And since it was mentioned previously in the thread, I'd love to have the Hex Girls make an appearance too!

My series would be titled "Scooby and Scrappy-Doo, Too". The cast would be the two canines, with Shaggy and Daphne being the only two main human characters, and would be in 3D format.
The series would involve mysteries set in college, but fighting against bullies, criminals, and at times organized crime.

Shaggy's Angels
Think Shaggy and Scooby get a Clue but with a twist. Following Shaggy inheriting his fortune the gang go their separate ways as they head off to college and into the world of work. A few years later a series of mysterious events convinces Shaggy that something is up and he knows just who can solve it. He and Scooby then travels about to get the gang back together, sort of.
But what have the gang been up to in the years since they parted? Daphne Blake is an undercover journalist. Velma Dinkley is an FBI agent specializing in forensics and evidence collection. Fred, well Fred now lives off-grid and makes a living by building Heath Robinson (or Rube Goldberg if you prefer) contraptions for private collectors and museums. Additionally Shaggy brings in Velma's younger sister, Madelyn Dinkley into the team. She is an accomplished stage magician and slight of hand artist.
The investigative team consists of Daphne, Velma and Madelyn while Fred is the driver and the 'Q' of the group.

Good choices guys. Me i would have Scooby and the Gang visit some of the Doo family, with each Family member having a supernatural problem. in the middle of the season, they run into Dixie with her Showboat, and Dixie joins the gang after their successful caper allows her to Retire from the stage. There'll be stops in Maine ( a Crossover with Dark Shadows) Hong Kong ( Hong Kong Phooey), and DC ( Secret Squirrel, who's the head of the Undercover animals Division at the CIA).

I would make some kind of travel series, placed in the main universe. Mystery Inc. (and the Mystery Machine) would go on their last real roadtrip to Europe, Asia, specific places in the US and Canada, maybe also to Latin America and Africa. Maybe it's nothing special, but my series would be more focused on real places and countries than ever. The gang would meet local people (and local mystery solvers?) and of course encounter local legends and ghosts/monsters/etc. Europe and Asia have been neglected for too long, it's time to fix it My intension is to educate children on the diversity of our world, not only about geography and history. Series name: I don't really know... Maybe... Scooby Doo, Where Are You? (this question would finally make sense in my series ) or The Grand Tour (I know, it's already used by these three british guys ) 40% of comedy and 60% of scare and action - I like darker tones. I would use current DTV art style with some minor changes/updates Maybe it would be a little less cartoony. Traditional features: - The great comeback of SDWAY theme song and some elements of the original soundtrack! (updated of course) - Gangs' personalities would be a good-hearted mix of SDWAY, WNSD, BCSD and Mook animation DTVs (e.g. Velma more positive and subtler, but still sarcastic sometimes; Daphne more cheerful and expressive like in BCSD; Fred - clever but socially awkward. A little.) - Guest appearances of old (and newer) characters - Madelyn Dinkley, Maggie Rogers, Scooby Dum, Camp Scare kids, Cosmo Dinkley, Melbourne O'Reilly, Hex Girls etc. - Maybe darker, but still without excessive violence. - When splitting up, Velma would sometimes go with Shaggy and Scooby - just like in SDWAY. New features - The Gang is distinctly older (college? the end of college?) Velma, Fred, Daphne and Shaggy think sometimes about their future. MY PERSONAL SCOOBY PREFERENCES FROM HERE!/ Maybe some Fraphne and Shelma? /THE END OF MY PREFERENCES. - New places - Germany, Czechia, Poland, Hungary, Spain, Portugal, Holland, Thailand etc. - Ruhroh's idea - urban legends, especially in USA. - New characters - local hosts and mystery solving team/teams. - Hot Dog Water in the mainstream universe (probably in Finland - Why there? I don't know...)

How about a series where Scooby and the gang are sent travelling through time. It could be called Scooby-Doo WHEN are You?

Time travel is a bad idea. Seriously. Never do it. Trying to explain it will give you a headache. Don't give it a second thought.
In all seriousness though...i'd go with a ... ZI-esque series but actually have Fred be a bit more open to the weirdness around him while having Shaggy become a little more competent upon learning that Daphne thought he was right the whole time but she was smarter about it.

How about a Scooby Game show where contestants have to write down the solution to the mystery or state their theory out loud and then once the scooby part ends, the first contestant who guessed the right suspect wins some sort of prize, like a Nintendo Switch or maybe a free one year subscription to the DC Scooby-Doo comic of his or her choice.

For me, I would do a series where Scooby, Scrappy, Shaggy and Daphne interact with various Hanna Barbera, MGM, and Looney Tunes (The Looney Tunes Show incarnations) characters from time to time. They would just interact with the mentioned cartoons. Not any real world celebrities. Relatives of the gang and the 13 Ghosts characters would also appear from time to time.

If time travel must be done...don't mention the minute you did it. Hour world could be changed drastically. Also...make sure that you only observe and secretly hint at something important to those you meet. If you spill the beans make them think it was a dream.
