It looks like a good movie and I really want to see it. But they have been doing too many crossover since 2013. There has not been a year that there is not a crossing ( lego consider it crossover ). It seems that they run out of ideas and need to cross to Scooby with something to make it interesting and there are fewer and fewer original movies. Even the new series of scooby will be full of crossover in each chapter. I love them but it is too many crossover I begin to suspect that they have no ideas. even so I love the batman movie that came out this year and I will surely love the new but so many crossover... it seems the perfect excuse to make scooby interesting because without a crossover it would not be interesting . Do not know how to make interesting characters with personality? They really need to do so many crossings because scooby alone would be left empty. We have a new series full of that to come will not be bad but the crossover are the perfect added to that problem. although like any fan I love the new series and I hope it is good but the crossover are the perfect added to make interesting an empty version of scooby without personality. It does not have to be that way, it's just the opinion I have of what could come, I hope it is not that.maybe it is not an added for lack of personality and it will be a great series I really like crossover and also it will be a tribute to the new scooby doo movies we will see. and the new movie will be very good I love it but many crossover .... I fully agree and it seems like (from what I've read) a lot of fans feel the same way. I wouldn't mind the crossovers if they were once in a while, but having almost all the DTVs be crossovers in addition to Guess Who, Scooby-Doo? just seems a bit much IMO.

I wish they would make a Funky Phantom crossover film. Could you imagine Scooby and Elmo teaming up against Boo?

Glad to see our sleuthing around here pays off from following Chef twitter accounts and TCM site links XD
I would imagine though they might cut down on the crossovers on dtv's once the Guess Who Scooby Doo rolls out. As like I implied in the other thread, it would be the perfect testing ground for any idea they are curious about but don't want to invest a full movie into just yet.

I wish they'd do four Scooby films a year: 1 Crossover w/ a Modern Celeb, Classic TV sitcom or a DC Superhero 2 Regular Scooby mysteries with no Guest stars except for occasional team-ups with other Hanna-Barbera meddling kids (Most likely The Funky Phantom or Captain Caveman and the Teen Angels) (If they would make enough of them and have them sell well enough, perhaps Mudsy and Cavey could each get a new series or start getting their own solo DTVs 1 Lego Movie .

I'm getting the feeling we're going to be finding out whatever the new status quo is going to be probably next year. Before it was fairly simple for many years, 2 Scoobys, 1 Tom and Jerry, and sometimes the specials. But ever since that 2nd WWE Scooby got pushed back things haven't been as easy to figure out. Having both Batman and Gourmet Ghoul in the same year is nice, but it feels like there's more to be learned.
We'll also notice there's no Scooby lego so far expectant, but DC lego has increased this year. We also had Daphne and Velma in live action this year. Which while not animation may have taken something else's place in the budget.
We also know they are going to be keeping some stuff off limits in case the theatrical plans work out well. Giving an idea or crossover away on a dtv when it could also be a theatrical is something they won't do at this time. i admit i'm really intrigued the press release for Guess Who didn't name drop any other HB/RS/MGM brands. As I really did think they'd use that show to test them to play it safe. So they might be keeping them a surprise or they might have plans other places for some of them already.
I'll keep digging and looking for rumors where I can, but I would also say it's entirely possible they want some things to be a surprise even to us super fans. I say this already in the year that they had Scooby/Batman movie, a new Flintstones spinoff and a Scrappy Doo cameo that all slipped us by without early rumors.

Since there is going to be a new Flintstones series, I have a feeling Funky Phantom would reappear in a DTV before they'd use him in a theatrical film.
