Looking forward to this! Though I would like to see other Scooby crossovers that haven't been done yet. I'd like a Harley and Ivy meet Daphne and Velma crossover like they have with the Harley and Ivy meet Betty and Veronica comic.

I think if they're gonna make a plug for the justice league movie they could at least make good references to the team up comics or at the very least the new movies episode
EDIT: It seems it isn't out yet, but Justice League is. I am glad I was wrong, this gives me hope

I'm thinking it's both a plug to the DC stuff and a bit an interesting decision in it's own right. Knowing WB Batman is one of their own biggest brands these days. So a new Scooby/Batman crossover is something a lot of people probably thought would come around the bend. It makes sense it rides on Justice League movie.
But that being true, Scooby and his home brand have some very important dates coming up in 2019 (Scooby's 50th) and 2020 (Theatrical push along with anniversaries of the other two top HB shows Tom and Jerry and Flintstones). If they are blowing off something as big as Batman in 2018, how confident are they in what's on tap for 2019 and 2020?

I don't think they are 'blowing off' Batman, this is as much for the Brave and the Bold fans as it is for us. As for the theatrical release, well I have no confidence in that project whatsoever I suspect that it was pushed back as the concept wasn't working.

I don't think they are 'blowing off' Batman, this is as much for the Brave and the Bold fans as it is for us. As for the theatrical release, well I have no confidence in that project whatsoever I suspect that it was pushed back as the concept wasn't working. I call it "blowing off" because it's Batman and really should be one of the bigger things they had to cross over with. If you needed an idea that would probably be guaranteed to be a good intersection, this would be it. The idea that they'd be putting it out in the year with the least expectations is a surprise. It feels like they are blowing away what could have been a safe ace in what really could have been a throwaway year for Scooby. So i'm questioning if this is now, what's also in the pipeline for the more expectations on them years of 2019 and 2020. Of course I also don't think it's a secret some of us have rather radically different opinions on the subjects in question, but my post was only on their internal thoughts. As I fully expected them to pull Batman for Scooby's 50th year or in the same time before the theatrical to remind that section of the audience that are eating up comic movies but not Scooby movies, "hey guys this what modern Scooby looks like". EDIT: Of course 2018 is also this specific Batman's anniversary so that could make sense why its this Batman version. Unless they are still behind from whatever they had to do with the second WWE movie and they stalled it more to match just over into the 2018 year. It's also kind of interesting the TCM site hasn't updated yet. It was the first source for the existence of the 2017 Tom & Jerry and the 2017 Lego Scooby and it's theme. But they haven't updated for this one yet. It's probably of course the other 2017 Scooby TBD having been pushed back a month into 2018.

I have done a pick apart of the trailer, Iāll start off by going over characters featured the stood out to me, or in the case of the two Unknownās didnāt stand out enough. Unknown: (0:36) This guy to the left of Fred is purposefully out of frame, no idea who it could be. (1:06) Along with Catman (Thomas Wilson?) Batman also punches this dude with an X on his face. Heās probably known but Iām not the most knowledgeable DC fan. Non-Listers: www.imdb.com/title/tt7578566/fullcredits?ref_=tt_cl_sm#cast(0:47) Killer Croc and Scarface are victim to food fights in this scene. I imagine Croc will be played by Stephen Root like in S3E4 but Scarface hasnāt been in Brave and Bold before and he gets very little screen time in the trailer although I doubt he is a big part in this. (0:58) Scarecrow. I imagine heās played by the previous B&tB voice, Dee Bradley Baker like in episode 15. (0:01) The two puppet people at the beginning. Seems like another āLuna Ghost thingā where theyāre only in the intro but if I didnāt say something people would lose it. Just in case you have your doubts, their unmask scene is in the trailer so rest in pepperoni. Hard to Spot: (0:58) Mr. Freeze, again just like the episode: S3E9 John DiMaggio; which would be easiest to assume out of these because DiMaggio is also Aquaman. (0:54) Aquaman is only up for less than a second, so here he is. (0:01) The Riddler is not shown in person but in the first scene of the trailer we can see street art of a question mark. I would like to see John Glover or Wally Wingert (sorry, Arkham has a good cast) but the page says weāre getting John Michael Higgins. (0:34) (0:54) The Question is a little hidden but heās there. I suppose while weāre on the subject of crossovers, itās good to mention this isnāt the last time weāll see crossovers in recent stuff. Unlike I suspected, there are no definite ties to Lillardās Instagram post with Kevin Conroy (more batman?);the new series āGuess Who?ā is theorized to be a New Movies reboot and/or spoof; if not that we always have the Injustice 2 āleaksā and of course the Team-Up comics are still on. So now itās time for the burning question: Will this be any good? Keep in mind I have no way of knowing but I can make a pretty good guess based on what little is known. Brave and the Bold, the TV series stopped re-runs in 2012. I was 8-11 years old, so not old enough to know all the ānon-batmanā characters which is why I lost interest. What I did see of it was fun enough but I wouldnāt put it next to The Animated Series or anything; Itās ok. My expectations going forward is this will be mediocre personally but others may dislike it. People devoted enough to DC to actually know who Detective Chimp or Plastic Man should like it alright but for all the non-nerds this is going to be a little head scratching. Thatās just the result of having so many characters though, you get to a point where using all of them isnāt possible and not using them would mean people forget about them.

This is totally just a theory, but if the "Scooby-Doo! Guess Who?" series is a New Scooby-Doo Movies reboot as some have speculated, maybe this film is intended as "testing ground" of sorts for the Guess Who series?

Also i'd like to add something in a new post instead of an edit on what I now realize was a bad error on my part. As the reason why they'd use Batman in 2018 besides being the 10 nniversary year for that specific Batman show, it's also the 20 year aniversaryfor the Scooby Doo DTV film series in itself.
So pulling the Batman card right now makes a lot more sense in that way. They are staring with a big one on what could be a very stronger push in the 2018-2020 period. I'm sure some of the WB shows that had weirdly been stalled on dvd getting press releases for early 2018 is also a part of this.
