Just a shower thought type theory of mine... What if "ScoobyNatural" was a glimpse into what this new series may be like? (albeit for a younger audience, obviously) What if this was what gave them the idea? Or if they are related? Again just a random theory! This show has been in production since July last year so would have been in the planning stage a while before that. Scoobynatural wrapped up production not long before it aired. This show has guest stars not crossovers with other franchises.

Yeah, but I doubt all the guests will fall into TV Land.

I felt like NSDM only had a few problems, but they were enough to completely derail the series. If this new series can find a good running length where it doesn't feel like there's as much filler padding as there was in NSDM, and doesn't overuse the same celebrities too many times (the WWE and KISS movies, however, don't give me too much hope for this), and don't just resort to using the more inane modern celebrities, it just might work out.

I know people working on it and I hope it's a giant hit for them. That said, guest stars are just a gimmick if they don't figure out what to do with the Scooby gang and find the right tone for the series. We could have had guest stars in BCSD and it wouldn't have made a difference to the tone or the way we portrayed the gang. That's the key to any new SD series - what are you doing with the gang and what will the tone be.

I guess that's why Daphne's easiest to write around then- using her as an all rounder because well...she's the John Stewart GL of the series. At least that's how i handle her in fanfics. Not really having a set trait means anyone can do whatever they wish with her.

So now that it seems this is a go as what we thought it could be, I bet we'll see some answers on what other HB brands they are considering for returns in the animation department. Crossovers in a shorter format with Scooby seem the ideal place to try out anything they want but don't have full confidence in yet.

Exactly it's like you say let's hope it's good for me the idea of the series that seems a reboot of the new scooby doo movies I love it seems done as a tribute to the 50 years of scooby that are fulfilled in 2019 let's hope they find the tone of the series and the characters to make a great series

The New Scooby Door Movies were, IMO, pretty forgettable affairs with the story shoehorned around the celebrities with their appearance making little or no sense in the context of the stories. I'm guessing the 'who' part will me going 'who?' to the 'celebrity' of the day. I could be wrong but their track record isn't strong. Yeah, once I saw that survey with Martha Stewart I started worrying. I want a TNSDMysteries reboot... Daphne, Shaggy, Scooby, and Scrappy solving crimes. It'd make me ten times more excited if they went this route, those shows were my top favorite scooby shows. And yah, I'm wondering if this is another reboot, it'd make more sense if it wasn't. And is Burch Hartman involved in this? I hope he doesn't add in mean sense of humor, look at what happened with Cosmo and Timmy's dad in the later seasons. I don't need to see Fred's cold attitude back from the original series and pushed up a notch. I'm starting to like Fred.

Well being a leader isn't a popularity contest and given what the gang does they need a leader.
I have to agree that the trajectory of Fred's character, and that of Velma, has been a negative one from SD:MI onwards. I hope this will change but as I don't hold out much hope for this series in the first place I have no expectations for their positive character development.
