Very nice episodes. Super creepy setting and unsettling atmosphere. Original story and monster (super cool). I hated Fred and his controlling thing through the episode even if it had very good parts like when he kicked the door. Also Daphne's Feng Shuei wathever was very annoying and useless. It had a couple of good lines tho. I loved the conceot of the episode and the chasing scenes were everything, also because they were full of suspence. When Shaggy and Scooby's disguise time failed I laughed so hard, also when the snow covered them after they said it would have been fine to go out, when thry found the 'S' clue was also funny but the very last line of the episode which I won't spoil was probaby the most epic line in the whole series. I died. Anyways regarding the solution it bugs me that we barely have secondary characters most of the times and the culprit is someome we don't know. Even if the solution was quite interesting like the reason why there was an 'S' in the basement. Another great scene was when Fred almost entered room 455 and he had that talk with the guy. I also loved the Mother's first person camera point of view. Something new that I really like because I've always wanted a mockumentary type of episode

This episode reminded me of the shining, i loved it! That's awesome. The Shining was in fact the original inspiration. I'm a big Kubrick fan. JCB had a big hand in making it great.

Now, "In Space" and this one are my favorite season 2 episodes. They are creepy, mysterious but also funny! Well done!

Totally agree that this is one of the best BCSD episodes yet! It's definitely the creepiest episode and may even be the darkest plot when you think on it. Fred is just the best in this series! Every time I go back and watch the classic episodes from 1969 I still love them but I find myself really missing this wacky incarnation of Fred. Taking his frustration out on the door was hilarious, as was the scene of him genuinely being terrified by Jack at room 455.
As far as atmosphere goes, this episode was dripping from it, start to finish. The opening teaser was very dark and reminded me of something from American horror story. It all worked so well and I just feel if this show had more atention paid to it, that the "tut tut tut" noise made by the ghost could become a real iconic horror sound, because it sure amped up the creepy factor here!
The reveal was perhaps a little long with a whole load of exlanations being thrown at us at once but it all made perfect sense tbh. The "S" sign lended itself to a neat joke and was a fantastic clue leading to the eventual capture of the ghost (with a wonderfully unique POV scene).
10/10 episode.

I also got the American Horror Story vibe in the intro and the Shining vibes throughout the episode but mainly because of the snowstorm, the hallway and the dining room and the maze! I really have to say that this is my absolute favourite

An amazing episode. Very creepy and scary. Amazing location with awesome chase descends and original and scary monster. Fred and Daphne's bits were annoying but couldn't drag down a fantastic episode 9.5/10

I'm pretty late to watching the second season of Be Cool but I just watched this episode the other day and it's got to be the most unsettling Scooby-Doo episode ever. Very creepy.
