Scrappy for sure.
Hot Dog Water really wasn't bad either, I don't know if I could see her around all the time, but she was pretty cool.
I really like the Boo Brothers too, but I could only see them popping up intermittently, not being a part of the gang. I also don't know what it would be like if they were around when the gang had Daph, Fred, and Velma too. Might be overstuffed.

hot dog water for me. Dum had a short shelf life, flim flam and Vincent are too tied the 13 ghosts era, boo brothers worked well for 1 film, but would have not worked as a long term addition.

Madelyn Dinkley or Hot Dog Water for me. How did Madelyn not make it into this poll? I would have voted for her. I think the SDMI continuity should get some movies to show the gang's adventures in the rebooted universe. HDW could now be retconned as Velma and Madelyn's older half-sister or (full sister who was put up for adoption) and Velma and Madelyn could be twins or just a year apart. All three of them could fight over which one gets Shaggy, while Shag remains oblivious to everything but the girls' advances toward him.

I'd be rooting for a HDW/Velma and Madelyn/Shaggy I've had enough of soap-opera with SD:MI's handling of relationships

I was thinking they could handle it like a sitcom. It would be like the triangle from the old Archie comics where the three girls try hilariously over the top methods of outdoing each other. Not physical fighting. like say each one cooks him progressively larger meals until one of them has to order out or Bruce and Agnes/Dale and Angie go to cook dinner and find nothing left. Also Shaggy could be very close to choosing Velma but still has to fend off the advances of the other two. If Archie Comics has done anything it's prove that you can make romantic triangles or even rectangles funny. Mystery Inc. strove for drama, my idea is to play it for laughs.

Still minded to say no. The franchise doesn't handle these kinds of this well cf. the Fred/Daphne/other stuff in recent DTV movies.

I'd be rooting for a HDW/Velma and Madelyn/Shaggy I've had enough of soap-opera with SD:MI's handling of relationships I thought the handling of relationships was actually one of the better parts of the show. I liked that in addition to the jokes, they had real issues that people deal with, and I like how they dissected Shaggy and Scoob's relationship. Shaggy and Velma was a bit iffy, didn't really go anywhere... and I had a problem with the way they handled Fred in general as being a big oafe who was oblivious to Daphne's feelings. But at least they dealt with it unlike prior incarnations where they just make a reference here or there. We've all known Freddy and Daphne have a thing and it's always driven me nuts how they never put much focus on it.

no barney. hot dog water is quite clearly a love interest for velma, and frankly it was the best handled of the relations of the main group. frankly, i thought it ws a missed opportunity not to bring in HDW into the gang full time as team member number 6.

Never big on Scrappy-Doo, and I wasn't that keen on Scooby-Dum either. Hot Dog Water was pretty interesting (especially Linda Cardellini voicing her). But my favorite new character they aded is probably Red Herring. He was just so funny! Even if he was a bully, he was more or less a comical bully. It was also funny how he'd often appear only at the end of an episode for when Fred accuses him ("Hey Jones, I'm calling to let you know I'm out of the country for the week and can't make it!") Another new character the show added was Daphne's butler Jenkins, whom first appeared in the show's second season. He was basically a joke character of sorts, doing some absurd task for Daphne, but he was still pretty funny (like doing a scared wild take for her so Daphne doesn't mess up her hair; or dressing up as suspect Little Bo Peter to show the police how unappealing he looked, with that one I loved it when he did the curtsy while saying "Yes, Miss Blake" before leaving.)

hot dog water is quite clearly a love interest for velma, I'm going to have to disagree......that wasn't mentioned at all, overtly or subtly....
