So we have Space Ghost Snagglepuss Future Quest Wacky Races - with a rumour that a Dick Dastardly and Muttley title is in the works The Jetsons Top Cat The Flintstones Banana Splits Scooby Doo and maybe a couple of others I've forgotten, all these being rebooted by DC Comics, all increasing the awareness of these characters, getting them in the public eye. Now it may be coincidence but it also increases brand awareness and gets some of these public eye, so they could be laying the groud-work for S.C.O.O.B The other one is Ruff & Reddy

Well this is just an guess on my part, but DC Comics are putting in a lot of effort in with the HB title. The Flintstones has been very well received especially for its social commentary and Future Quest has also been well received. They are also linking some titles into the wider DC Universe, so far Top Cat and Banana Splits are the ones going in. It might be that DC have decided to have some fun and put out some titles that will appeal to the nostalgia crowd as well as giving their writers something truly different to work on. How this links into SCOOB we can't say but it is something to consider as a possibility.

I'd say it could be either. While these comics are clearly not the main course for their plans it's entirely possible higher ups asked them to give nudges to the ones they had movie plans for, because that's just good business.
What we still really need to hear is what area are we looking for with SCOOB because this movie could still be very different depending on which other characters are rounding out the cast.

No big deal. Only thing I can think of for such a long delay is that they're reworking the movie(or it wasn't as far along as we originally thought). And is SCOOB not the title anymore?

It's too bad they don't release it for Scooby's 50th in 2019! You would think they would think of things like that!

All in all it's probably a good thing. I'd rather they got the movie right rather than pushing it to hit an arbitrary date. And I suspect that it needs a lot of work.

I feel like HB is changing its plans by focusing it on Scooby rather than the whole cinematic universe concept. I think they needed time to rewrite the script
