SPOILERS!
The culprit being two people is getting old, though. A lot in Be Cool and now in this movie

My guess is there wasn't much relationship stuff. I still can't wait to see it. As long as the voice acting is good. I enjoyed the 30 minute lego episode.

Loved it. I wrote a long review but refreshed the page.. so I will just say that movie's highlight was that Ellen type of selfie at the end. First time someone actually says 'selfie' in the franchise. Gotta love modern touches. Also like the mockumentary references. I enjoyed the role everyone played and felt nostalgic listening to Mystery Incorporated's score.

I thought it was very nice. Still getting used to the Lego cartoon look and logic, though. I think LEGO falls back on that Ellen selfie too much to the point where it just gets old. I think one of my favourite scenes was the montage of Daphne practicing something she could do in the movie, and failing. What I didn't like was that they come from Crystal Cove, that town was made specifically for SDMI, and I don't like it sprawling out into other continuities. DC Comics tried to do it once, but they used both Crystal Cove AND Coolsville. Someone said on KissCartoon that Crystal Cove is a district of Coolsville.
And Shaggy dresses up as a certain superhero that is very common to the Legoverse!

There wasn't any romance in the film, but Fred and Velma did have some closeness in the film. It always interests me when they try and make Fred complex (through Frank Welker voicing Fred's disappointment over things).
Scott Menville as Junior was kind of funny. I liked it on the tour when Junior had to do the entire western showdown himself because he was the only employee left.

Another thing I have to say is I liked the continuity connection of Grimsley Mansion, although I'm not sure if it's the exact same one or a duplicate? Verona Dempsey made a cameo, although I didn't recognise Grey, and Verona wasn't listed in the credits.

I enjoyed the role everyone played and felt nostalgic listening to Mystery Incorporated's score. I actually didn't like it. It felt like Robert J. Kral was being lazy, and didn't fit the tone of the film, and it has never fit when he used it in the other films, either. But they do have two new songs, which are great. Finnegan Schwartz does them both, who I think has only performed some songs for Be Cool so far.

As our resident LEGO expert I thought the film was okay, and if anything I'm probably one of the biggest fans of LEGO and Scooby-Doo simultaneously so I should've loved it. I thought this suffered from the problems as the New Scooby-Doo Movies, it felt dragged out with the identities of the villians clear as day. The villains were such a boring choice, Elkwood's Horseman and Zeke's zombie. I know they had to use characters from the LEGO sets, but why not use the Swamp Monster? Or even an original character and make it the exclusive figure with the DVD. The plot was meh, it was kind of predictable but all LEGO specials are. I did like the use of the Be Cool characters, including the unofficial Frelma couple. I mean there's unofficial Frelma everywhere now. I thought the setting was rapped in a bow to be filled with cameos from the past, but nope. Not even a single character we've seen before was there. I was delighted to see the return of the Malt shop, and if we get that in LEGO I'll drown in tears of happiness. I don't like LEGO's animation style they use for the DTVs, they changed it in around 2013(ish) and it hasn't grown on me yet. Oh also they added detail to the minifigures, which would be impossible to do on real minifigures. It always annoys me when they show off non existing moulds and stuff, I mean the LEGO library is huge! Just use what you have!

Oh, yeah. The illusion of a waistline for the women. I thought it was a bit weird. Is that what you're talking about, Soupperson?
