Not really a paranormal story, but there have been a lot of creepy things associated with Lost City in Texas and after being there, it definitely is weird. I've never figured out what the structure was but I heard it was a gas refinery. We went looking for it one day with little to go on and we ended up wandering around in the woods for a couple of hours before we stumbled onto these huge concrete walls. We climbed up them and its basically a big walled square with square pillars inside of it with huge slabs of concrete crossing over some acting as bridges. If you climb down inside there are a lot of tunnels, corridors, and hallways. The entire place is made of concrete except for random pipes coming out of walls. Some places are out in the open and kind of remind me of an Aztec temple, some of the hallways are covered and dark and some are blocked by waist deep piles of garbage bags. Being that Lost City is in such a secluded area and there are public dumps everywhere, I don't even want to speculate what is in those bags that made it worth someone traipsing through all the brush to get there then climbing over the walls.
The only thing that really scared us was that we heard stories of cults using Lost City as a base and most of the stories said there was a huge metal door that was an entrance to the underground part of the complex and that is where the people lived. Sure enough as we were walking down these hall ways we come to a T intersection and there on the wall is this massive rusty iron door that's bolted shut. Think one of those doors you would see on a deep sea submarine. It was creepy, but of course nothing happened. I doubt that door had been opened in decades, still, it would have been interesting to see if there really were underground levels to explore.
I searched through a few of my pictures, I can only find 1 that I took, there is more and if I find them I'll post them but this should give a little idea of what Lost City looks (looked maybe, I heard that it has since been torn down) like.
