So I am in charge of creating the float this year for my town's St. Pats parade and we have decided to do a Mystery Machine pulling "The Graveyard of St. Pat's" . I already have a 1992 Dodge 250 van that I am painting to match the mystery machine. "The Graveyard of St. Pat's" that the Mystery Machine will be pulling is going to have a lot of the iconic monsters from the Scooby Doo franchise on it but I'm at a loss of how to make these monsters. The only idea I have is paper mache because people are not allowed to be on the float. If you folks have any better ideas please chime in because we could really use the help!!

If it's in the budget maybe take the images of the monsters and have them printed out on cardstock or a thicker cardboard material like a standee?
Or maybe try to find similar masks or hand made ones and have them hang from the graves on the float?
That's most of what I can think of off the top of my head.

Welcome to the forum dale1995!! What a great idea for the float! I hope you post pictures!!
Matt's standee idea would definitely work! Another idea with the masks is to put them on large stuffed animals.

Wax dummies or sculptures might work

I'd say build them out of LEGO bricks (force of habit ) , but you'd want to be skilled and rich to do that. You could possibly get people to dress up as monsters and dance around the float? Be sure to keep us updated, I can't wait to see it!
