I personally choose SDMI, because I liked the animation better and the mysteries were harder to solve and more interesting.

Be Cool is better even though I don't really care for it that much. Misery Stink is the worst series to date because of all the forced Fraphne and Shelma relationships and the messed up timeline. I also don't like the dark tone in Misery Stink. The animation for both shows are terrible.

I also don't like the dark tone in Misery Stink. The animation for both shows are terrible. Really; SD:MI had MUCH better animation. They got DongWoo A&E and Lotto Animation to work on it, two of Warner's favored overseas studios, and they do really good animation. Even if for this show Warner would just script some dialogue and ship it off to those two Korean studios, the results were mostly pleasing. (Yet "The Looney Tunes Show" and now "Wabbit" have much more inferior animation...) Sure, SD:MI was too violent and gory at times, and had quite a bit of forced romance, but I find it MUCH more watchable than "Be Cool." Heck, I find it more watchable than "What's New Scooby-Doo" as well! But it can't beat the pre-1979 classics...

I voted Be Cool, and i'm sure that isn't much of a surprise to anyone who knows my usual posts.
MI never appealed to me for various reasons. Be Cool isn't my favorite, but it's a nice experiment I like much better. Would pick to watch Be Cool over Mystery Incorporated any day.

I think it's a false comparison as both shows set out to do very different things.
If they had avoided the relationship soap-opera then IMO SD:MI could have taken the franchise to another level in terms of art-style, animation, story telling and deep plot development. But because they chose to turn it into a soap opera it will always be a could have been, a deeply-flawed series which is ultimately undone by its own internal deamons.
Be Cool is here for the fun and the friendship. It is a more honest and functioning friendship than the dysfunctional one in SD:MI and in doing so has in the few episodes shown provided more character depth and traction that the entire two series of SD:MI.
You pay your money and you take your choice. Now my head wants to vote for SD:MI because of what it could have been - its unfulfilled promise of a more 'adult' branch of the franchise, but my heart wants to vote for Be Cool because of what it is.

As much as I hate the animation of be cool, it has some solid episodes and I very much enjoy them. As was promised, once you start watching the bad animation starts being transparent. It's much more care free and fun and I think this is the most balanced the characters have ever been (I especially like Daphne).
But I voted for SDMI, it's more mature, it's darker, and I enjoyed having a continuing story going on in the background. There was a lot I disliked about MI, some episodes I won't even watch, but I waited in anticipation of each episode and I've marathon watched it a couple of times.

It's like they were trying to turn Scooby-Doo into a bloody dark anime. To me the shows since Pup have different characters disguised as Scooby-Doo characters. Wabbit's animation is just as terrible. The Looney Tunes Show's animation in it's second season seemed to stay close to the classic Looney Tunes animation and the animation used in it's first season was better then Wabbit despite Bug's fur being purple. For me the Scooby-Doo shows from 1983, 1984 and 1985 are way better then Pup and the Warner Brothers shows. I would even rather watch The Looney Tunes Show (which to me was good) or a Cartoon Network original over Pup or Warner Brothers Scooby-Doo.

Sure, SD:MI was too violent and gory at times... I tend to judge by 'Tom and Jerry' the very definition of random (and malicious) acts of senseless violence. On that scale SD:MI scores rather low (for most of the episodes).

How is Misery Stink's animation any better? Well because it is a personal and subjective thing, your mileage may vary. I like Prog Metal, my daughter likes K-Pop but is one objectively better than the other? I can say which one I prefer but that is all it is, a preference. You prefer one form of animation over the other and that's about all you or I can say can say. I'm not even sure you can compare them, SD:MI looks rendered 3D whereas Be Cool is more 2.5D.

I don't like either animation. I just prefer the animation from Be Cool over Misery Stink. I don't really like 2D animation that looks 3Dish like the style Misery Stink used.

Please keep in mind that everyone is entitled to their own opinion and they should not be made to feel bad for their opinion. Also, please use the shows actual names or abbreviations as to not be disrespectful to the people that worked on the shows.

I think it's two different things to compare. The art style matches the kind of plot each show was aiming. Both are great for different reasons.

I have to disagree with you, but I respect your opinion, the animation in BCSD makes the characters look crazy, in my opinion, while in SDMI it makes them look more realistic.
