Incarnations? I'm helping my friend out on a fan fic and she wants to high light some differences between the characters in the modern setting and the older versions. The older version is Hana barbera and the new is the wb era. So far we high lighted this much for shaggy at least.
Modern Shaggy: big eater and more scared. He doesn't seem to have as many interests he still has them but the good thing is hyped up more.
Older Shaggy: seems to be not as scared and has some interests outside of food: race car driving, playing guitar, gymnast, etc.
Any luck with the others?

Daphne went from quiet introvert to a black belt extrovert.
Scooby is a bit more gregarious in the WB ones.
Shaggy becomes a bit less judgmental of Scooby in the WB ones.
Velma's body shape changes.
Fred is about the same, but hey, he's always been voiced by Frank Welker.

Scooby talks more fluently in the WB ones.

No more Scrappy.
Does Scooby fall in love anymore?
Shaggy goes on and off from being a vegetarian.
And when I talked about Shaggy being judgmental, it's like he trusts Scooby more in the WB era.

Does Scooby fall in love anymore? Shaggy goes on and off from being a vegetarian. Scooby fell in love in the last special Beach Beastie. Shaggy isn't a vegetarian now since Matt Lillard took over.

Fred is more serious in the HB era till Pup Named, where he changes to a little dumb until the WB era. Plus his trap obesession after SDMI till now.

Scrappy goes from "puppy power!" and "I'm just a pup" to his more mature self in Boo Brothers.

Any hobbies that she could mention from either the wb or hb eras? I think I said shaggys and I remember Daphne played piano in the original series.

Scooby was given more human traits in the 1980's seasons.

Shaggy plays piano in Disc Demon. Scooby and Shaggy play bongos really well in the Tiki one.

Fred was much more serious in the originals to MI.
Velma is now slightly more comedic.
