I've been watching over SDMI and I realize that Velma is literally so sassy in it it. Like ever since episode 1, it's so hilarious! It really reminds me of myself, a sassy geek cx.

I never liked what WB did to the characters.

I love sassy Velma too! xD I personally loved what they did with the characters in the show. When you watch classic scooby, the gang is all very dry and Scooby and Shaggy are really the only characters who have full personalities. In newer scooby movies and shows the gang has grown to have more full personalities and I am happy with it.

Did you read the interview here with Mitch Watson? That's pretty much what they were going for, and they did a great job. Mark

I also didn't like how the gang was in the 60s-70s shows, but the gang was also given full personas in the 80s shows that were better then the WB personas which is another reason why I like the 80s shows. In the WB shows Shaggy is more goofy, Daphne is obsessed with fashion, Fred is where he has become a bully and obsessed with traps and Velma is mean to Scooby. I also noticed Shaggy also was acting less goofy in 13 Ghosts and the 80s DTVs.

That is true. I really am put off a bit by the WB versions at some extent. I think it's a little worse with SDMI though. I wasn't a big fan of Velma's change in personality. She can be sarcastic at times in the original show but I think it was overkill in this series. And speaking of WB really messing around with Scooby Doo... I dread the new thing they're coming out with... Be Cool, Scooby Doo. I hope they don't mess with the characters too much
