Haven't noticed any similarity, but I'll check again. A lot of monsters throughout Scooby have the same growl as El Chupacabra (Loch Ness Monster from Laff-A-Lympics, mummy in Cyber Chase).

Hanna Barbera recycled and reused the villain noises a lot. Best example I can think of is the ghost from "Sandy Duncan's Jekyll and Hyde" makes the same noise as the mummy from the original "Where Are You" series.

Maybe it's like the Wilhelm scream? Just was reminded of this. The Golden Compass uses it near the end of the movie.

Bigfoot and the Mummy of Ankha sounded familiar, but Mummy sounded more grouchy than Bigfoot.
