Does the 2002 movie indirectly imply a "missing" series?

The last we hear from Scrappy was also the last televised appearance of a Scooby series until What's New Scooby Doo.

So how does it work that the entire gang was together when he finally gets booted? Had they regathered after 13 Ghosts and had more adventures?

Or were the makers just too busy focusing on bashing Scrappy to notice the details?
