This is probably the second Scooby-Doo made-for-video movie to be about aliens... I wish they would be more original again.

So let's see we have references to Aliens, 60's space suits, 2001-ish space station and a moonbase of some kind. All we need are some warp nacelles on the Mystery Machine and we've got the lot. Interesting idea, it'll have to go on my watch list.

A new Scooby Doo DTV movie is good news, but I really hope it isn't going to be DVD only.
I can't find the Blu-Ray listing on Amazon (US), and the last Tom & Jerry DTV was DVD only too.

No, the Blu-Ray and DVD are always listed at the same time on Amazon, although both are often listed as DVD at first (with difference in prices). There is still no sign of any Blu-Ray release at Amazon (Canada or USA), so it is looking like back to DVD only. I can only hope for a Blu-Ray release in another region, as Tom & Jerry: The Lost Dragon was still released on Blu-Ray in Germany and Spain at least.

Looking at Amazon UK, aside from a Spanish Phantosaur all the other Scooby Doo BD disks are US imports.

So it shouldn't be too much to ask for Warner Bros. to continue offering Blu-Ray releases for DTVs of a popular character like Scooby Doo. I'm in Australia, where the Scooby Doo DTV movies have only ever been released on DVD too. The Blu-Ray releases from Warner Bros are usually region free, so can always import, if not offered locally.

Try Blu-Ray.com which offers more accurate information about supported regions, based on user feedback. The majority (maybe all?) of Blu-Ray releases from Warner Bros. are region free.
