SPOILER ALERT! If you have not seen this movie yet you should not read this.
Did you guys notice that Scooby Doo 3: The Mystery Begins doesn't fit with Scooby Goes Hollywood or A Pup Named Scooby Doo? In Scooby Doo 3: The Mystery Begins, Scooby ran in Shaggy's window when he saw the ghosts and that's how he got Scooby. In A Pup Named Scooby Doo they had Scooby when he was a pup, and when he ran in Shaggy's window he wasn't a pup. In Scooby Doo Goes Hollywood, they said they bought him at Grillo's Pet Shop. That doesn't make sense!

I don't think it's supposed to be connected to Pup. This is like the fourth version of Scooby's orgins we've had{I heard they also did it in 13 Ghosts too but I'm not sure about that}.
It also fit with the first two movies either. In the first movie, they hadn't encountered real ghosts yet, yet in this movie the ghosts were real.

It's almost like they just made up the beginning to be whatever they wanted it to be and they didn't look back to get all the details straight.

Even though it's being called a prequel, it's much more of a reboot.

Yeah, but if they would have given everything sense, they would have had to make a movie, where some kids around 10 or 12 buy a pup at "Grillo's Pet Shop" - where's the fun?

It could have been done with the right people, but the Mystery Machine wouldn't have fit in too well without one of them being old enough to drive.

It's almost like they just made up the beginning to be whatever they wanted it to be and they didn't look back to get all the details straight. Extremely true! If they would have looked back at the details, or just thought about it for a minute with a care in their minds about preventing contradictions, then they would have realized that there was no need to create this movie because the origins of the gang were already revealed!

Even though it's being called a prequel, it's much more of a reboot. Yes, it's definitely not a continuation of the first two! That's why I don't think there should be a "3" in the movie title (officially there isn't, but many people call it that).

Yeah, it's definitely a contradiciton to the rest of the series. In fact it completely contradicts Pup Named Scooby Doo.

It could have been a good movie if they had used the info from the other series to create the movie. It's not a bad thing to have a movie dedicated to the start of the gang as long as they use the correct background info.

Since the point of the movie was to show how the gang first got together, and how they solved their very first case, I think it was unnecessary for them to have made it, because these things had already been revealed. It also attempted to reveal how they got the Mystery Machine, and how Scooby Snacks came to be, whe these things also already had an explanation for. I think another live-action movie would have been a good movie if it would have been a continuation of the first two, using the same actors and actresses that were in the first two, and not attemp to reveal how the gang came to be.

This movie does tie back in to the first (Black Knight) episode. The Target release even has the first episode on it actually.

I think Scooby snacks were a gimmick all along just to get Scooby and Shaggy to help. I don't think it's an actual company, like the special water in Space Jam. Secret Stuff I think it was called haha.
