I have noticed that some villains are immediately hauled off in cuffs and some are just let go to do as if nothing happened. all of these bad guys or girls are potentially creating property damage or physical harm to an individual or individuals. I just do not see the law logic here.

I suppose it all depends on the nature of the situation. 'Restorative Justice' giving the person the opportunity to correct the wrong they have done, the end of Abracadbra Doo for example (though Marlon Whirlen probably should have his collar felt by the FBI for the kidnapping/unlawful imprisonment of Madelyn Dinkley and the local police fot the reckless endangerment of the gang). It all depends on the storyh and just because you don't see it happed doesn't mean it wouldn't happen but that seeing it is unnecessary from the point of the story. It has to be remembered that this is not a police procedure show.

Usually i think it works when they do it, but one that stands out to me as an oddity is the Roller Ghoster episode. While they say that nobody got hurt, some of the situations the episode portrayed would honestly make me think no one could realistically do that and nobody could get hurt without some weird cartoon physics.

It just seems like maybe when kids see this it etches into their heads that some crimes get you just a wrist slap

There are two message, bad people go to jail etc and the good get the chance to make good the mistake they have made.

I would hope that parents teach their kids that what they see on TV is not reality. I don't think cartoons should have to be true to life in that the villains should have to go to jail. I think parents can use shows to talk about things, but kids should know it's not reality.

yeah i agree that some of the unmasked villains got off pretty lightly but really some are just very misunderstood people who was tossed aside by friends and family never getting the credit or respect they deserve although if you've seen frankencreepy at least a few of the more memorable older villains got incarcerated

The Headless Spector didn't even get a fine for disturbing the peace.

I had this same thought seeing this episode for the first time yesterday. Attempted Murder at least. I mean those accidents legit could have cause death.

True. But I wouldn't call the accidents safe. A lot of luck was involved in those accidents for the gang to survive.

How did Gibby Norton keep avoiding Jail? He sabotaged race vehicles, kidnapped Simple Plan and caused danger at Cybergulch.

How did Gibby Norton keep avoiding Jail? He sabotaged race vehicles, kidnapped Simple Plan and caused danger at Cybergulch. Not to mention he exhibited stalker-like behaviour towards Velma. I'm not sure if he appeared after that, I would expect the theft of secret military technology would lead to the equivalent of him being 'detained at Her Majesty's pleasure'.

The Headless Spector didn't even get a fine for disturbing the peace. Technically he was on private property and since he was a Stillwall, I'm going to assume that his family still owned Jefferson Stillwall's house so I don't think he really did anything wrong. His neighbor, on the other hand, could have faced criminal charges for trespassing, presumably breaking and entering, destruction of property, etc.
