This was a pretty decent episode. Seeing a new Doo family member was great, but I just didn't like Dixie as much as I loved Scrappy, Dum or Yabba.

I wish Funnier Moments would put these on their site....I would like to watch these again. I don't remember this one very well so I really can't give it a review.

I have a feeling these will be added pretty soon. In the meanwhile, why don't you try other sites? I think there's one that has them all full.

Dixie doesnt appear much in the episode. so she isnt given m,uch time to be anything other than a klutzy ditz. still , as one of only 3 female relatives scooby has, its a shame she didnt appear more often.

thats the problem with 11 minutes episodes, doesnt give much time to add new characters with depth. i wish Dixie had appeared more often, so her character could be fleshed out more.

Want to see this, but not on DVD and never seen on TV. I'm guessing it's the boat in the intro-song to every episode?

it used to be shown as part of the 25 hour marathons of scooby, that included episodes from all the scooby shows up until the 90s.

One part of this episode i love is the exchange that goes like.
Shaggy: Dixie! Scooby: Rixie! Ghost (off screen): MAGNOOOOOLIA! Shaggy: No Scoob, we're looking for Dixie, not Magnolia *Ghost jumps out in front of them* Ghost: Magnolia! Where's Magnolia? Scooby: Ri rave ro ridea!
And for those keeping score at home, Magnolia is a reference to the book Show Boat (as is the title), which became a famous musical and three famous films.

the funny thing about this episode that is the jewels which are the basis for the hauntings were in the captains chamber the entire time - ie right under everyones nose- and given the short time frame of the episode- total 11 minutes, that's not much time for anything involving an investigation like havoing Daphne and Scrappy search say Dixie's dressing room, or have Dixie be a more important part of the plot. her dressing up as a ghost was funny but also kinda out of the blue.

you'd think they would separate out who voiced whom -Don Messick as Scooby, Casey Kasem as shaggy etc,. It wasnt until recently that I fiound out Janet Waldo voiced Scooby Dee, for instance.
