I just love this episode! I have loved it since I was a kid, and since I didn't kow the creature's name, I used to call it "the soul-sucking monster". I also remember having drawn Scooby, Captain Clemens and the Creepy Heap the same day I watched it! Not one of the best of my drawings, but what can I do? Nobody's perfect... Too bad these haven't been saved... They must be somewhere in my grandma's place...

I like episodes where they go diving! The villain was also pretty great! I love the setting and the introduction was hilarious.

This episode was amazing! My 2nd favorite of this series (Vampire Bats and Scaredy Cats was my favorite). I loved the villain and Captain Clemens' ghost was really creepy, I remember being scared of him when I was a kid.

I have to admit, I don't think I've actually seen this episode. I just remember the villian from the 100 Frights video game.

Pretty good episode. The Creepy Heap From The Deep was a nicely designed original monster. Plus any episode that has the gang exploring the waters is bond to create some nice suspense, which is always a plus. Also when the gang was outside and they saw the light in the house was still-on, I gotta admit that was some legitimately spooky stuff.

I liked this one a lot, the whole Season 2 really brings out things we don't normally see in the show. Fred looked pretty scared in some parts of this - and he and Daphne were almost caught by the monster. I liked when they were all hanging out sitting by the van, you don't see that very often.

I really like this one too. It's one of those that still feels fresh due to the lack of dvds and times played on tv. Great stuff

Five years later, this episode still haunts me in a fever-dream sort of way. The guy losing his soul is a pretty creepy concept for a '70s Scooby episode, almost Lovecraftian or something.

This is a seriously dark episode. TSDS may not have that vintage spooky feel of WAY but it more than makes up for that with some harrowing mysteries (Mainly S1 and S2). The creature stealing the Captains spirit is still a pretty haunting moment in an episode with a real sense of foreboding.

Plot: Another decent episode for season 2. I always liked the plot with the mysterious light signals, the sunk submarine, and the mysterious sea monster that can suck souls. The bad guy's plan is brilliant and not something we see often. Finely, it had a cool setting, both with the captain's creepy house and with the dark, foggy ocean. 8.5/10
Villan(s): I'm not a fan of the Sea Monster's design, but I liked the fact that he could supposedly steal your soul. The zombie captain was cool and scary. 8/10
Final Score: 8.2/10
