This is definitely a fun one! I really like the main villain and it's interesting to see how the splitting up was done differently (Fred, Shaggy and Scooby / Daphne, Velma and Davy).

A very decent episode, never watched this before. I love how Fred split up with Shaggy and Scooby, they’re playing with that a lot more in this show like when Scooby and Daphne were alone in “the spooky fog”. Is the toy episode really the only other time when Shaggy and Fred split up together..? can’t believe that. (Also I love that episode so much its not stupid lol). But yeah this was fun, I liked how there were two villains and how confusing it was to get around the mystery. A nice plot as well

This episode kinda has a “watching an old vhs tape” feel for me and I’m unsure why. It wasn’t released on any VHS but that strange association with that feeling makes this one of my very favorites

This never used to be one of my favourites but it sure is now. I think a lot of it has to do with the way the gang split up and the architecture of Hagglethorn Hall. The interiors remind me of some of the levels from "Spyro the Dragon" rather than Scooby-Doo. There's a kinda magical feel to this one and the etherial look of the ghost has a lot to do with that. The way the mystery is solved is great too, tying back to the farmer from the very start of the episode. Yeah Top 5 material, for sure.

Plot. A unique episode for sure. There were lots of fresh ideas, like the way the gang split out and everybody's sarcasm. The mystery was confusing in a good way, and the end was very satisfying. 8/10 Set Up: The castle was very mysterious. It had so many hidden doors and secret passages. I liked it a lot. 9/10 Monster(s): The Haunted Horseman and the Moat Monster were cool antagonists. They also had a good design, which is unusual in this series. 7/10
BONUS Guest Star: Davy Jones was a solid guest. He didn't need to be funny for me to like him because he was brave and empathetic. 8/10 Nostalgia Boost:+0
Final Score: 8/10
