A nice episode overall, but, having seen both live-action Addams Family movies, I think that Thing shouldn't be represented as a quite long arm out of a box, but kept originally as a walking hand.

This is among the funnier and more enjoyable New Scooby-Doo Movies I've seen so far!

I have never heard of The Addams Family, so I don't care about the guest stars in this episode.
But overall, it was a funny episode with some great jokes.

Good episode, a lot of nice gags in this one. Although the actual Adams family doesn't have a whole lot to do in the episodes, it's nice to see that the writers took advantage of The Adams family house, by having Scooby and the gang getting caught in a lot of accidental dangerous situations, the spike sequence probably being the best of them all.

This was certainly a good episode. I only wish they'd finally release it and the other missing episodes on DVD. It's not available anywhere, is it?

Mind you it's of low quality, since it's taken directly from TV, but it's better then nothing, I guess.

But Thing was originally a hand reaching out of a box. The walking hand Thing came from the 90s movies...aka way after this episode came out. Now if only Warner Bros would get the rights to release this episode on DVD!

If there was, it's more than likely already cleared. Since they released the 70s Addams Family cartoon.
But I'm far sold that we won't see any of the remaining nine until they have cleared all nine of them and put out a set.
And the major problem is there has never been any information made public if all nine did have clearance issues or not. And given it's still in Warner Home Video's terrain, bugging the Warner Archive people probably won't actually yield any information if we in 2016 are any closer than we were back in 2005.

I was wondering if they were just waiting for all nine episodes to have their rights cleared too, since they've been able to release Josie and the Pussycats and the Addams Family cartoons, even though they weren't included in the original set.

I'd also bet it might be a marketing thing. If at this point they haven't already gave some of them away on random sets, I think that is good evidence they haven't just given up the cause. They probably want to make sure the set is as strong as possible, and generates the most sales possible. If you give away certain big ones like Josie or Addams Family, some people may pass on the later whole set.
Besides if this one day does come to fruition, who wants to bet some lawyers on the WB offices might just throw a party.

Besides if this one day does come to fruition, who wants to bet some lawyers on the WB offices might just throw a party. That would make sense. Warner Bros hasn't released the 90s Addams Family series yet either even though they have the full rights to it, and from what I've seen the response to people's inquires as to why they haven't released it was along the lines of "We're waiting for a new Addams Family movie or series to come out, so they'll be more publicity around the franchise and thus it'll cause the release to sell better." Except of course it was in a far more buisness/formal many and was being a bit more subtle. I wouldn't be suprised if they threw in the SD Addams Family episode if they ever do release the 90s series, I imagine they could charge a couple extra bucks then. And now all this talk of the Addams Family is making me want to see another Scooby crossover with them...unlike though as I don't believe there's been anything Addams Family related in a while or two.

Where exactly did you hear that? The only replies I've ever seen straight from Warner are there are clearances issues with the 90s series. And Scott Awley on other groups has stated he's very sure it's clearance on music rights that holds up the 90s Addams Family release.
