One of my favorite episodes - and my sister's as well, even though she's not a Scooby fan...

Zen Tuo delivers a huge lot of funny moments in this episode in a few short minutes.
Shaggy and Scooby nailing up the wall, only for it to come straight up.
The crossing of the lines only to break Shaggy's stick.
And who can forget: "Don't you know it's illegal to set off fireworks and wreck a store room?" "We will build a new store room!"
Man that Zen Tuo wasn't playing. Guy meant business.

It was alright, not great though. I don't find the villain very interesting.

All of the Where Are You episodes are good in my opinion but this isn't one of my favorites. Can't say why, I just didn't like it very much.

Not a particularly great episode. It's nice to see Keye Luke's voice in a Scooby-Doo, and there are some good gags, like the way they end up capturing the villain, but other then that, not much else was special. Zen Tuo was an alright villain.

I find this episode good but a little boring starting from when they reach the temple.

A pretty average Where Are You episode. The temple setting at the end is fun but up until then is alright. The monster design isn't that great but the monsters' personalities are fun

This one was rough. Putting aside being potentially politically incorrect, it's just not a great episode in my opinion. It does have two things to keep it from being the very worst of the series: I did think the store room joke hit really well, but the chase scene is what really makes the episode. It's one of the best chase scenes in all of Scooby in my mind

This one moves around in my rankings a fair bit but it's unfortunately never far from the bottom. I really love the first half of the episode, set in Chinatown, but once it gets to the temple I feel it just turns into the Shaggy & Scooby show. The rest of the gang are locked away for 6/7 minutes and we get abundance of set pieces... some being a bit rough in 2021. The set of villains are decent enough and I like the Chinese backdrops. It's just an episode that goes downhill considerably once they switch settings, half way through.
Mystery: 7/10 Villain(s): 8/10 Setting: 8/10
Overall Score: 7.5/10

Crossing the line in the sand reminds me of a similar scene in Tom Sawyer, where basically the same thing happens. Could be a reference.
I enjoy this episode and agree that it has some very funny moments. Probably my first introduction to Asian culture as a child, even before Mulan. Yes, there are a couple scenes which have not aged well politically, but the episode was obviously trying really hard to expose the viewer to a new culture which they themselves didn't fully understand either, so I feel the net benefit is positive still.

I'm going 5/10, enjoyed the first 10 minutes or so but it drops off after the split up in my opinion

Plot: It has some interesting elements, like the Chinatown mystery and the "ancient Chinese cult," but it gets boring after the first 10 minutes. It has some great humor too, but I would prefer it to be darker. 7/10 Set Up: This wasn't creepy, but Chinatown was a fresh change. 8/10 Monster(s):The Scare Pair was an interesting duo. I liked their masks, and they seemed like dangerous criminals at first. The main villain is one of the most forgettable characters in the show. 5/10
BONUS Nostalgia Boost: +0
Overall, a fresh new idea, but a little bit boring and with a weak villain. Final Score:6.7/10
