A great episode, I'm watching it again now.
The used Voodoo dolls again in Zombie Island.

Good episode. The zombie and witch are a classic pair of Scooby's villain. I like the look of the swamp. It looks so sinister.

A pretty good episode with a pretty good pair of villains in the witch and zombie. The swamp setting is a lot of fun. The voodoo dolls are also cool

Man, this one is so good. One of the series best when it comes to giving clues and add that to the swamp setting, and especially the boat setting and the humorous bits we've come to expect in this series (like the voodoo doll and fork scene) makes this an all time great and it really speaks to the greatness of the series that this isn't even one of my very favorites of the show

I remember how several online guides stated that Jean Vanderpyl (Wilma Flintstone) provided the "witch"'s voice, but when rewatching this episode a couple of years back, I could tell that Don Messick actually did the witch voice. Back in the late 1950s, Daws Butler and Don Messick often did the majority of the Hanna-Barbera cartoons' voices, and Messick would often voice female characters, specifically unattractive-looking females, and that would include witches. Plus, it's also justified in that the witch here was really a man in a mask, so that also makes Messick's witch voice more plausible. (Though we never hear the guy's real voice, I would assume if he did speak in his real voice Messick would've provided it, since back then in many cases the ghost/monster of the week would share the same voice actor as it's true identity.) Though of course, they still did that "cast as a mask" trick with the swamp zombie, with John Stephenson providing the zombie's vocal effects, and his true identity being voiced by, again, Don Messick!

Another stellar episode right here. This may actually be one of the finest mysteries of the entire series. It's pretty obvious who the villains are but the clues are actually quite clever in revealing what their scheme is. The swamp setting is always a winner and creates some a real spooky atmosphere, especially when they're boarding the derelict river boat. The Witch & Zombie are 2 of the most iconic monsters from the first season, too. It's maybe not an outstanding episode but everything about it works well in creating an engaging and fun mystery.
Mystery: 10/10 Villain(s): 8.5/10 Setting: 9/10
Overall Score: 9/10

Which Witch is up to a 9.5 now. This has steadily grown to become one of my absolute favourites of Season 1. I think I suffered a bit of burnout with this one since I watched it on VHS repeatedly, when I was young but it's risen back up the rankings in recent years!

Last year when Trick-Or-Treat Studios announced some new additions to their line of Scooby-Doo villain Halloween masks, I just HAD to get the Swamp Zombie one from this episode... It's really incredible, such a great likeness, and fits very comfortably on my head and neck! Definitely one of their best Scooby villain masks. I've always liked this Zombie's design; he's indeed one of the franchise's most iconic monsters.

My entire childhood I missed out on this episode but I still knew the design from books and marketing material.
