One of the most iconic episodes from WAY. Loved this one as a kid and the monster design is one of my favorites from this series. Really good mystery and loved when Scooby and Shaggy, being tied up on a table, were being chased by the ghost. Great chase song and the vibe of this episode was great. One thing I've noticed from watching season 2 of WAY is how much darker it is compared to season 1.

This is one of three episodes that are my SDWAY faves.

I feel this case needed a third suspect and for said suspect to have been the culprit. Using Jekyll as Hyde was too obvious.

I love it! That was a really cool way to catch him.

I wonder how Dr. Jekyll managed to be too fast. He went from one place to another like in a split second.
A circus star can make extra money on the side, Velma!
It seems pretty obvious that someone was trying to set someone up.

It was ridiculous of the villain to be afraid of his own costume in this episode.

It was ridiculous of the villain to be afraid of his own costume in this episode. I took it as more of a shocked reaction to there being many other identical costumes that pop up when he thought he had the only one. I definitely understand your perspective on it too, though.

I liked this episode a lot since I was a kid. Had a VHS tape that I bought from a store that had this and Which Witch is which. Also about Shaggy referencing that film, I think it is funny he calls it the early late show.

I love this one so much. It's such a unique retelling of the classic Jekyll and Hyde story. I say this for several episodes in this series (because it's true!) but this is another one of my favorite episodes of all time

One of my favorites. I always found Hyde sooo creepy especially when he hid in the mystery machine. The breaking into of property and the gang’s safe space made the stakes higher

Fair warning* I have a good few controversial ratings coming up for this particular season
We start off with one, actually as "Nowhere to Hyde" is my least favourite episode of the season and one that I just wished I loved more. Haunted houses are usually my thing but I just feel this one falls flat. Hyde has just never been creepy to me ... Green ghouls seem to be this season's party-piece and the ghost of Hyde is the least-effective, for me. The focus of this episode is clearly all on the mystery and the writers did throw a fair few clues at us to spice things up. No complaints there and I won't rank it unfairly because of my bias but I have to admit that I've always found this one to be a weak season opener.
Mystery: 10/10 Villain: 7/10 Setting: 7/10
Overall Score: 7/10

With recent viewings it's grown on me massively and it would score it at least 8/10 now. 2023 update - Nowhere to Hyde has managed to grow on me even more. I would say it may actually be my most watched episode over the last couple years.

Especially, at least in my cases, I tended to avoid the episodes I didn't like as much but now it feels even fresher when I did start enjoying them. Believe it or not, I used to think To Switch a Witch was overrated so I didn't watch it that much, but now I see it as a near masterpiece and it still feels fresh to me, despite arguably being one of the more overplayed of the episodes from that season even if it is the best one

It's definitely the stand out of Season 3 and a very rewatchable one too, especially around Halloween time. Glad you've taken a liking to it 👍 I've pretty much had the same experience with Nowhere to Hyde recently.

Plot: One of the series best. First time in the franchise of a culprit trying to misguide the gang into suspecting another person, which was a nice toutch. 9/10 Set Up: Dr. Jekyll's Mansion was cool. 8/10 Monster: Mr. Hyde's ghost is, for sure, one of the most iconic villains in the series. He loses some points because he was scared by his own costume. 7/10
BONUS Nostalgia Boost: +0
Overall, an iconic episode with some flaws, though. Final Score: 8/10
