What's this "Reboot" part? Is there another thread on this somewhere? Or is this the upcoming theatrical release that was mentioned awhile back? Mark It's the theatrical film. The whole plot involves them trying to buy some new boots.

Well that's something new at least. Always said Scooby needs to start wearing some clothes if he's going to ride in the van so much.

The guest star approach ages terribly, I think you would be hard pressed to find young people today who even recognise 90% of the guest stars they used without a google search first (the remaining 10% like the addams family ended up being iconic) The cringey pop stars of today showing up in a scooby cartoon would definitely send ratings sky high though. Like with the wrestling crossover the ratings of two fanbases in one movie. Get someone at the height of their fame watch ratings soar one directions, Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, those kinds of people have huge fan bases. Josie and the pussycats haven't been relevant in the last 40 years, they had a meh movie in 2001 then nothing since. So yeah I can see guest stars making a comeback when ratings are in a need of a boost (they would be crazy not to jump on that money train)but even then I can almost guarantee it will be modern pop stars and not the forgotten ones.

It's official! The Official Shaggy Rogers twitter posted #FreakOutScoobyDoo with the #2015. Along with #Frankencreepy #BeCoolScoobyDoo #ScoobyDooReboot and #2014 No offense, but I'm pretty sure those aren't legit. One of the gang's twitter accounts also said that Be Cool Scooby Doo would be released in Fall 2014, and that obviously isn't going to happen. They might not be... It says official Shaggy Roger Twitter... But it could still be false. Hopefully it's not! and Freak Out Scooby-Doo is real.

I'm inclined to disagree on that. I'm more in the line that culture is an ongoing thing. In our modern society access to the past is far much easier than it ever was in older times. The issue is getting people to care, and a lot of what people think the stereotypical "young person" of today is comes from those people who didn't care because they are the people who yell the loudest on the internet. I'm a 22 year old, i was in elementary school in the 90s, when we talked about cartoons the guest appearances on the New Scooby Movies or the celebrity themed looney tunes shorts were more recognizable to us than weren't. Mostly because re-runs of their forms were ingrained in us from tv and commercials. In some cases we didn't get it all yet, but at name and image we could have told you who most of them are. Contrast this to my slightly later days when Cartoon Network made their spoof Night of the Living Doo, where i didn't know a single person in school my age that knew who David Cross or Big Bad Voodoo Daddy were. (and to be honest i still had to look both up several years ago when i remembered Night of the Living Doo and real life never gave me the knowledge who the balding guy and the band were) But in my opinion, making celebrity-themed things are good at their times, but i don't feel they need to have expiration dates. Even today we don't know how many kids are going to be given education by their parents on entertainment of the past. While some might remain ignorant, i don't feel it represents any majority. Because i also refrain from using many internet sources as trustworthy on exposure when lots of people aren't as tech savvy as our society likes to paint itself. For every rather inactive board on IMDB, there could be thousands of parents out there that liked the movie/show enough to own it and be sharing it with their kids right now and we wouldn't have knowledge of it because they don't go online to talk about it. Okay end of rant. But i like to be a voice that not all of us under 25 are like some on the internet like to say we are. That shouldn't be a mystery to solve. --- And i'll look forward to see what will happen if this one is also in the makings.
