A pretty fun episode, I'll have to go back and rewatch because I didn't remember it being that great. I really enjoyed the school and pool aspect. Thought monster was meh. BUT humor is great

Nice humor in this one. As always with this series a good episode but I don't find myself going back to this episode much at all in comparison to several others

Quite a subdued episode compared to the rest. The humour is what really makes this one and it somehow manages to strike the perfect balance of spooky & funny without ever leaning into an overload of gags. Like most of the 1st season - there's a spooky atmosphere laced throughout the duration and the Mummy was a pretty neat monster. The mystery is relatively low-key but it's cool how it takes place in a local University/Museum. I like how they mentioned a new addition to the gymnasium being built and that's where Dr. Najib was getting his quick drying cement from.
Mystery - 8/10 Villain - 8.5/10 Setting - 8.5/10
Overall Score - 8.5/10

Plot:I love ancient Egypt, so having a mystery inspired by that is nice. It also had a lot of similarities with one of my favorite Scooby Doo movies of all time (Scooby Doo In Where Is My Mummy). 7/10 Set up: It is good, but it would be great if they were actually in Egypt. 7/10 Monster:The Mummy was a cool, typical Scooby-Doo villain. 7/10
BONUS Nostalgia Boost: None
Overall, a good episode, but not mind blowing. WNSD and Where is my Mummy did it better, in my opinion. Final Score 7/10

separationofstars They go to the school lab to test the tape. I think that's a different building from the museum but I'd have to recheck. It wouldn't be completely strange for a Californian university to have a small museum, pool, and classrooms, afaik, either way. Many colleges have random amenities such as ice rinks, observatories, gyms, etc.
