I have been searching for about 5 years now, to get the original recordings of the suspense music, the build ups, the chase music, etc and have been unsuccessful. I know that Ted Nichols scored many of these compositions. Unfortunately, the compilation CD's that are on the market do not contain these amazing pieces of music. Can anybody help?

They were never released, just like many other Hanna-Barbera goodies. I myself hope to someday get the full versions of the bubblegum pop songs from "Josie And The Pussycats In Outer Space", but these amazing songs will probably never be released. Such a shame too, I love the classic Scooby-Doo music.
The songs had to be re-synthesized for "Legend Of The Vampire" and "Monster Of Mexico". I'm not sure if that means they no longer have the original score (wouldn't that suck?!) or if they just felt the need to "modernize" the songs.

I love the music in Boo Brothers and tNSDM episodes. I believe the guy who composed for Boo Brothers has other personal albums for sale. Not sure about tNSDM episodes. You can always search by the composer's name online and cross your fingers! I contacted the man who did the music for Zombie Island and he told me about his jazz background and how he watched the movie without music first and then had instant inspiration, fueled by older horror black and white films. He was also the composer for a big 90s drama show.

It certainly wouldn't be the same without it!

Rewatching this series, and the music seemed to really change in the third season. The first two seasons featured a mix of Scooby-Doo Where Are You music, mixed in with some new tracks. The third season however featured a lot more original music for the show. There were some particular cues such as the danger sounding music that play whenever Fred, Velma, and Daphne were investigating or the ending music from the third season on, that was also featured in Scooby and Scrappy Doo, that I'd love to get my hands on. Sadly either WB doesn't care, or they can't find the original scores. I'm hoping it's first of those, but the second one would be a real shame if true.

I didn't pay a lot of attention to the music from the later Scooby shows. I do know the chase music was changed with trumpets, and I don't remember which episode it is, but you can *almost* rip a clean copy of it from the DVD. Other than that particular cue, I don't recall any specific piece from the Scooby Doo Show. All I remember are a lot of the cues from Where Are You?

The "Scooby Snack Trax" album has all the bubblegum pop songs from the original series.

There might be a way to do this on your own. You can record an episode as a .wav, then every time someone talks mute the audio. Match up identical tracks and the holes made by the dialogue should be filled in. I would have done this myself if it wasn't so daunting but it's possible in theory. I've done something similar to get backgrounds from episodes.
