Daphne and Fred had seen that Velma was knocked down by Shaggy and Scooby and lost her glasses. They saw her struggling to find her glasses, knowing that she was pretty much blind. Yet, they abandoned her as soon as they saw The Creeper! If they were really in a dangerous situation, they would have left her for dead! Poor Velma. Her friends don't care about her.

I think this movie was to make the scene funnier. Besides, Hanna-Barbera wouldn't use such intense scenes in a cartoon, meaning abandoning a friend... After all, she then found her glasses, only to see the Creeper mumbling before her, and she crawled in the sraw with the rest of the gang, which I found really fuuny!

Exactly, it is the job of a writer to set up scenes to achieve certain goals (dramatic, comedy etc), I've done it in writing and RP. The scene was set-up for the comedy effect of Velma's encounter with The Creeper, nothing more.

I meant this as more of a joke post, which is why I added that specific smiley at the end. Sorry for any confusion, I know it was just set up as part of the continuous blind Velma gag.

Hahaha, that's actually true and hilarious,oh dear, Velma really needs to get a chain for those glasses, maybe Fred and Daphne should get her one as a peace offering!
