Every since Scooby-Doo Adventures:The Mystery Map I've always wondered about the movies branching into other formats.
The one I honestly am surprised they haven't jumped into because Scooby seems perfect for it is Claymation. Every claymation movie you see it's always relatively creepy so that would work perfect for this type of story.
Any thoughts?
sorry if this has been brought up before I'm new so I wasn't sure.

Welcome to the forum imnotmak!
I could see a claymation Scooby. I didn't really like the live action movies, I feel Scooby is best animated.

i prefer scooby as Animated, personally. We've tried a musical, the gang as puppet, all we're missing is Scooby finding a girlfriend and her joining the team.

well we've already had scrappy, so the gang having 6 members is not new. further having someone to support velma and balance the genders of the group is imo a good thing. like with anything, it depends on execution. likely she'd be smarter than scooby and not a throwaway love interest, like scooby dee was

Thanks everybody!
Yeah I'm not a huge fan of the live action films either but I think it's worth trying other formats and styles since they make so many things still.
Not even a movie really if they just did a special in the stop motion format it might be a pretty cool thing. If anyone has seen Paranorman I'm thinking that just scooby doo you know.

given that scooby's been around for 45 years, you're going to have different takes on the characters, different adventures etc.

I think a claymation would be pretty interesting. It certainly couldn't be any worse than the recent DTV movies. It would be something unique at the very least.

A full-blown stop motion Scooby-Doo film done in the style of The a Nightmare Before Christmas and The Corpse Bride would be absolutely amazing!

It takes a long time and a lot of work to do stop motion like that...I don't think an ongoing SERIES would be feasible. Maybe a special sure, but I just couldn't imagine a studio going for a series.
