technically it's not scooby doo 3, but anyway  : what the mystery in scooby doo: the mystery begins is, hasn't been said anywhere, but we know, that the gang's school is haunted (by who/what, this question remains) and that they get the blame for it (they probably were at the wrong time at the wrong place). this is why they team up mainly, because they get suspended since everyone thinks they were the ones who have damaged the school building. |

Actually, I think it technically is Scooby-Doo 3 as it is the 3rd live action movie. It does not matter that it is a prequel, all that matters with the title is that it is the 3rd installment in a series of live action films.

you're right, but for me, a movie should only have the next number in its name, if it's a "continuing" movie. but i guess, everyone has his own opinion there.
