Man, how times flies. Zombie Island is the film that revived the franchise,.

My first thought when reading this was "it's _ONLY_ been 15 years?"...it feels like several lifetimes ago. Regardless, still a great film that I enjoy watching.

I think that Zombie Island and Which's Ghost, and the others that don't have the artwork to be cut native for 16x9 need to get the Toei treatment. What that is is this:
Toei animation of Japan owns DragonBallZ. They did an HD remaster of the 4:3 material by actually having artists redraw the cells again with extra material to fill out 16x9 or occasionally reformatted where it was Akira Toriyama's wish (he is the creator of DBZ).
WB could send these movies out for such remastering, as, they are truly modern american classics.

That would be neat. Certainly better than just cropping the top/bottom, which I would not want. I'm planning on watching Zombie Island again tomorrow night. Starting the Halloween season! Mark

Honestly, if they released Zombie Island on Blu-ray, the purist in me would want them to keep the original 4x3 aspect ratio.

It's crazy that it's been that long this movie I was so excited for as a young kid that Scooby Doo was finally returning
