Picked this up last night but haven't had a chance to watch any of it yet. Very nice cover art though.

No new trailers unfortunately. I *think* spooky scarecrow was in widescreen...I think it would have jumped out at me if it wasn't.
The back cover episode list is indeed what is on the discs, sorry for those hoping for a misprint.

Darn. Well, still looking forward to the new special, tho I may wait until closer to Halloween before watching.

Yep, it's WS and high bitrate. Makes up for no BluRay disc a little.

Wow I would love the option to have the dvd and then be able to chose not to watch it. Being forced to wait thanks to copyright laws is lame.
Just finished buying a region free dvd player and the two new specials in American format to make it less frustrating but not being able to buy it the day it comes out drives me batty. If it all goes according to plan I will be preordering future movies. So lucky to be able to choose to wait, waiting loses its lustre when its compulsory.

Am I mistaken that it's a Halloween themed episode? I thought it was, but maybe the scarecrow and cornmaze on the cover gave me the wrong impression, but it seemed like an autumn/October themed special so I thought I'd watch it as part of the season. They come out with everything so early these days. I have to buy my fall decorations, Yankee Candle Halloween stuff and Oktoberfest beer in August because if I wait until October they'll be sold out. Then again, I'm one of those who prefers to watch Christmas shows in December, so go figure. Mark

Mark No, you're absolutely right, it is a Halloween episode, I am just really impressed by your patience, I mean, if I had the special at home, I would watch it, even if it were summer. P.S.: There was sometime when I watched The Nutcracker Scoob during spring, LOL!

Oh yeah, after I watch it the first time, I'll rewatch it anytime after that. Should've also mentioned that I just got back into Scooby a few years ago and there's some other stuff on this DVD that I haven't seen yet, so I am watching those. At my rate considering some other stuff going on, it would be early October before I got around to the special anyway probably.

For those who have watched the DVD, are there any new previews and is "A Scooby Doo Halloween" in widerscreen? Unfortunately "A Scooby Doo Halloween" is still cropped to full frame.

Is daphne in any peril in this? She trips in a hole, and Velma cracks wise.

that's really not being in a peril to 'Danger-prone Daphne' standards. BTw, has anyone else noticed that in mystery incorporated the only ones in the gang who are not tied up and gagged at some point are Fred and Scooby? something i found interesting, thats all.
