I'd like to say I make a lot of money, but I don't haha. We don't advertise and have a handful of clients that we do work for on a monthly basis, so we don't make much money. We get business through word of mouth. Websites can be very complex, and with it just being the 2 of us, we can't take on a ton of work.
I have to pay my hosting provider, GoDaddy, the money for the domain name and hosting every year. We charge our clients $50 per hour, but no I do not charge myself. I probably wouldn't be able to afford to keep the site going if I charged myself haha.

I didn't know if it would cost money to make and maintain an informational website or not. That really is alot of money.
Forgive me for asking so many questions, but, here goes:
1. So, you have to have a hosting provider? Why can't you just be your own?
2. So, your clients have to pay you $50 per hour they spend on their site? That would really add up. Where did Doo get the $3.84 per month at?
3. Do you have to pay GoDaddy $62 a year ($5.17 per month)?

We would need to set up a server in our house to be able to host our site ourselves, and that would end up being more costly because we'd need a T1 line at least, along with the server.
Yes, we do charge our clients $50 per hour for the most part. I'm not sure where he got the $3.84 per month.
Yes, I pay GoDaddy $62 a year, every year, to keep this site going.

And for the $3.84 a month, I must have been looking at something else, I see now that it is $50.

Yep! I put our logo on the site so I can use ScoobyAddicts on our portfolio page. People ask me all the time why I hired a company to make the site for me. I didn't!! This site is all me and my hubby helped with stuff I couldn't do!

The forum is free, right? I just read at the bottom, "This Board Hosted For FREE By ProBoards".

Yes. It's a pretty nice forum too, I think. It's not super complex.

I looked at some others, but felt they were too difficult to use. This one was simple to set up and use.

I agree! (On the use part that is. I have no experience setting it up.)
