Well, Beach Blanket Beastie had that script leak via Lillard or someone a while back. Seemed quite legit as a buddy of mine does script editing work and said 'looks like stuff I see every day, bank on it.'.
What an ideal title for a Frankie and Annette tribute, just channel them into some characters.
Hoping the best for this one.

I see news on this topic is dry.
Gonna look around the nets see if anything pops up.

Jason Wyatt has updated his Linkedin to show the movie for 2014 release still and a name change. His LI page now calls it 'Scooby-Doo and The Beach Beastie".

Well, any animated references to Frankie Avalon and Annette Funicello are likely out the window. Ratz, just when I was hoping they were going in my preferred direction of restarting the classic/guest stars angle.
Ah well, just have to wait to see it.

Whilst any cartoon is a product of the time it was produced, the inclusion of a guest star really does nail it, both time and place. The star of today is the nobody of tomorrow, the star well know to people in once country may be unknown to the rest of the world. The inclusion of a guest star potentially limits sales both internationally and going forward in time.

Good, cause that means another 13 Spooky Tales set, and, hopefully, with more unreleased episodes will be out.

We've never had more than 2 specials a year either since they started. I don't really see how it still having a this year date helps either case. That being said given Frankencreep originally was listed as 2015, i would not be surprised if this one was pushed back.

If it's a movie, I wonder if it maybe will get a digital/on demand release at the very end of this year and then a physical release a few weeks later in early 2015? That would make it technically a 2014 release, but not on DVD/bluray till 2015.

I recently watched the Ghastly Goals special (it's online in French) and the copyright at the end said "2013". I really like to think of episodes/movies/specials year of production according to copyright year... For example, SDMI episodes 27-33 are considered 2011 by me, Mask of the Blue Falcon 2012, WrestleMania Mystery 2013 and so on...
